We had spare duvets and so slept on one and had 1 over us. Access to a hoover would have been good.AUnty Emma told us Postman Pat had been there the week before

I came back yesterdy from Hemsby, what a dump the site is there!

Camber was so much better I thought. I was in 147 which was the furthest away from everything - awfully dirty!

I know it was free holiday but entertainment in evenings was a big let down, the kids characters only came out for about 5 mins in total a night - which was what my daughter was most looking forward too. I am so glad I never paid!

We got back from Southport on Thursday. Break date was till friday but we had had enough.

When we arrived we were given a apartment in 290 odd. We got to it and the carpets were matted with dirt:eek: . I have a 11 month old who has only just started walking and there was no way i was putting him down on that floor. I went straight back to reception and said the room was unacceptable, explained about my son and the fact there was no crockery or cutlrey in the apartment and although it was a free holiday they were taken the mick asking us to stop in that apartment.

We were given another apartment (595) and we had to wait for the cleaners to finish cleaning it(if that is what is called) but it was better than the last.

We still had to share 2 bowls in the morning around 5 of us. We had people playing football intill about 5am on the first night(eventually i asked them to stop nicely). The other nights were a lot quieter.

We only saw 2 bluecoats over the 4 days we were there and they were just sitting by the stage when Mr Sticks and Barney was on.

The swimming pool smelt of wee.

But it was lovely town and this did make up for it. Once my dd had seen Barney we had the ok to come home.

Now when the adverts for Pontins come on the TV, The children shout boo boo rubbish.

At least it was free. Or perhaps i'm a snob.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We are off to Butlins in Skeggy on Monday on a last minute deal so lets hope that is better as we have never been there either.:j :j :j

    What a honeymoon.:D

fabwitch I think we were next door to you - 342 at camber - didn't know anyone was next door - it was on the first floor. Oh, its a shame we all didn't meet up, maybe next time!
If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.
