Back from pontins tonight, monday it was raining didnt get to do anything, tuesday went france so didnt get to enjoy activities.Kids felt homesick so decided to go home!
Had a great trip to france though so many thanks for that
Hope everyone else has fun0 -
Got back from camber monday, though the site is abit tired, liked the club apartments, weird thing they don't have nets there
, everytime you want to change you have to close the curtains
.
But the surrounding areas (make sure you have sat-nav!!) was amazing!, literally took my breath away - esp. Rye. Loads to do with the kids, zoos, castles, steam trains & great shopping at the ashford outlet 30 mins away. HTHHave fun for all those still to go
No one said it was gonna be easy!0 -
We are back from Southport. It was ok, very dated and not much to do but great for a freebie and my daughter (3 next week) had a great time and loved it. Many thanks op0

Got back from Camber last night - came home early as we didn't like the apartments - no privacy, no doors on the wardrobes, had to either have curtains drawn all the time or put up with ppl gawping at you as they walked past - we didn't arrive til late on Monday night due to traffic - couldn't bear the rubbish that was littered all outside the chalets - the french group of ppl above us were awful as were the ppl opposite - never been on holiday before where the police have had to be called - the entertainment was ok - we had the breakfast in the restaurant on tuesday and brought our own stuff for the rest of the time - the food we had looked and tasted like it had been there a few days! The beach - lovely but so so windy!! lasted about 10 mins before we had to go as the sand was just blowing in kids eyes too much. The apartment was basic, had what we needed except something other than a dustpan and brush might have been better especially when you have kids - crumbs etc and sand everywhere. Bathroom was ok but you had to remember to completely dress before opening the door as you were exposed - Overall - I wouldn't recommend it and I wouldn't go back there - might go to a different one as entertainment good for the kids but Camber was not my scene - (oh, and dd came down with chicken pox on wed night which put a dampner on it too!!) Thanks again to OP though - it took us to a part of the country that we would probably never have visited otherwise.0

Also just back from Southport and have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the apartment was. Great Freebie, camp a bit tired looking and swimming pool could have been cleaner but as far as holiday camps go...
Kids absolutely loved it had a fab time. Souhtport just down road from us (so dad could still go to work) and I thought well maybe we'll stay two nights but kids (10, 6 and 4) were enjoying it so much we did stay all four nights! Ahh back to the computer, feels good!0 -
