Asking them about changing the names may highlight the issue and they may not let you change or try to charge you a silly price for changing. I don't know how changing names works perhaps you could try ringing up but don't give any details and just ask general advice.

I was kindly offered a free holiday last week at Prestatyn. I just wrote the ref number on a piece of paper and gave that at the gate. They asked me to confirm name and address (the details of the original booking not mine). Then had to fill out a form.

I am not sure if they will tighten up the security with all this eBay stuff but I had no problems last Friday (29/06). I was worried (although one male and one female on booking was the same they were 10 years older than us) before I went but I read on the posts they don't check.

The age difference was the only thing that I was worried about when checking in. I am 28 but look younger, I still sometimes get asked for ID. I am sure that in a few years time I will wish that I look younger but sometimes it is annoying.

I wasn't worried about checking in until Friday but then I suddenly started to worry that we might make the 4 hour round trip there for nothing if they sussed. I put a post on the forum and felt slightly better. I still spent part of the journey up reciting your address and coming up with reasons why I hadn't got the letter. I had the printout that you e-mail me just in case.

In the end all went well and we had a brilliant time.

    Thanks again

    Are these for familys only?
I wanted to go to butlins with a friend last year but we were refused for being same sex party...
Can couples go? Or is it purely familys? I dont know the policy
    THanks

Hi Tilly122, When I booked I gave my name only and was just asked how many people would be going with me (no names or ages etc). When we got there on Monday and checked in no further questions were asked so you should be ok. The parks are very family orientated though :)

I think July 23rd was the latest date available.

i have a pontins holiday for Sept at Brean sands, that I booked and paid for when they were doing there cheap holiday deals back at the start of the year, but now can't go. I'm gonna be listing it on Ebay soon, so if anyone wants a cheap holiday lemme know and I will send you my ebay username so you can watch the auction.

I know its not a free hoilday, but it will be a very cheap one.

I can't beleve this thread - last year when this offer was on, we didn't have pages and pages of "can't go" and "will anyone swap". And as for E-bayers trying to profit from a free offer therefore depriving someone who really needs a free holiday..
Why didn't people choose their dates a little more carefully? A free holiday is a great thing but it strikes me that people have just rung up for the sake of it without really considering if they can really use the trip.

    Sorry for my little rant.
