I have just been told that there aren't but have got a free holiday for next week at prestatyn. :beer:

Anyone else been to Camber Sands apart from the review in post 358? Managed to book it, tbh I don't really care what it's like but would like to be prepared. Do you need to take bed linen? is there plenty for the kids to do and are there swimming/paddling pools? tia

Hi Julie, I've been there before and the kids enjoyed themselves (much more than me - I'm afraid!) The chalets are basic and sofa bed is uncomfortable, but I've found this in all 3 pontins I've been too and I've stayed in club as well as budget. Electricity is paid for by card, costs £1 each - you may need 3 or so for a 4 night break but if any don't get used - you will get your money back. You will need bed linen as its not provided in budget.

All activities for kids are free in summer hols so kids will have a fab time - there is a swimming pool too.

People did moan about the accommodation, but I don't mind as its free and so long as its clean. Hope you find it okay.

I went on the free day trip to france and it was foggy so boat was delayed on the way back - didnt get back till after 10 at night. If this is offered again, will probably give it a miss this time!

Thanks BB, I'm just so grateful to be able to go, tbh we will prob. just end up using the chalet as a base,we cant go on the day trip to france as ds doesn't have a passport and I don't really want to get one just for this (he's only 2) plus it's a bit short notice to get one. Is it close to the beach? havent told my daughter yet as it will be a constant 'how many days' lol, but can' wait to see her face when I get her case out - this was our only chance of having a family holiday so I am so made up - it's all for the kids really.
