Anyone want to swap 4 days in hemsby starting on Mon 2nd July- for 4 days in Camber starting the 23rd??

Also my Mum has Camber Sands on the 2nd July- looking to go to Hemsby instead on same date

OH can't have time off work. Booked for two adults, two children.

I have very kindly been given a free holiday by someone that can't go. The booking has their details on. I rang Pontins general number and was told that all you need is the booking ref. I asked if they need ID and they said no. The closer I get to the trip the more I get worried, I don't want to make a four hour round trip for nothing. I am half inclined to ring the resort to be on the safe side but I am worried that I may alert them that something is amiss. I am thinking of just blagging it.

Has anyone been with different details? Do they care about age, gender etc if the number of people are the same? Any one got any advice?

My daughter and friend are going today on someone elses booking to Hemsby, they do not check. Last weekend I added my Sister in Law car registration down as they live in Norfolk at the gate they got a sticker for the car and came in every day to the camp and the kids stayed the nigt with me. Please dont worry just go and have a good holiday. We are bak in Hemsby next weekend and the weekend after, I paid for these thugh but never mind, enjoy the free break I know my daughter will this weekend

we are going the 23rd july to southport,iv just been reading some terrible reviews online and i am now worried that im taking my 19 month old to god only knows! has any one been southport recently?

Hi Cazian,

I live in Southport, and went to the Pontins in Ainsdale about 4 yrs ago, to meet friends from down south, they found the place looked worse than it actually was. Not been since so maybe things have improved-or got worse?! If you are worried at all, I would recommend taking some dettox spray with you just in case.

Hope you have a great time, Southport is quite nice really. You should visit the squirrel reserve and beach in Formby, kids all ages love it. (Beach there is much better than at Southport too)

while pontins is not the ritz, nor is it quite a as bad as some ppl say, i wouldnt take my child if it was!! most complaints have been abt how clean the chalet is, but i have not found that, but i would take extra care with a toddler! It's a free holiday, go and enjoy.
