I've had the 3GS for almost 2 years having said I'd never have an iPh0ne (while loving my iP0ds). Currently trying to decide whether to stick with it and drop to a SIM only package (saving £12.50/month) or change to a different phone (the Mot0 G they suggested would still save me £7.50/month). I can up/down grade after 26th this month, so need to decide soon.....
My first ever contract ends this month - I have a BB - 750 mins 5000 texts 1GB for £15 month capped. I am used to a BB now - does what I need. I can get the same deal with a new BB - £12.50 month + £2.50 buffer cap.

    I'm currently on 250 minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB data for £20/month

I'm reluctant to drop calls (now I have no inclusive on my landline) or texts, but haven't used 1 months data allowance over the entire 2 years I've had the phone !!

So I'm looking at changing to 250 mins, 5000 texts and 500Mb data for either £7.50 month (SIM only) or £12.50/month (with the Mot0 handset).

I have unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 1gb! I don't use anywhere near that! Thinking I only need 500 calls max and 500mb internet so will see what deals are around x

I'm another changing phone soon - I have an iPhone 5 on contract (mortgage more like!) that I can no longer afford, so it's being 'recycled' via o2 to give me enough credit to pay the bill for the next 6 months, and I'm borrowing my old 3GS back from my sister. Contract ends next December and I'm thinking of buying a 5S and going SIM-only.

    Afternoon all

Had a spendy day as went to Al*i for my fresh food and some toiletries. Spent £16.85 and my fridge is now full again :T

I've also made curried rice salad for my work lunches this week and even if I say so myself its yummy :D.

Have never made it before as normally buy those packets where you just add the water. But I wanted to use up the rice in the cupboard, which by the way I can't even remember buying its that OOD, and I'm trying to make as much as possible from scratch.

Hopefully no more spending until next saturday but I suspect I may need to buy some mints for work to combat the curry! :rotfl:
  • Busy weekend in the garden.....ended up chopping down some of my oak tree to let more light through and have spent hours cutting all the branches and twigs up for kindling and logs for the winter....probably have enough kindling now to last for the entire season so a massive future saving for me!!:j Won't be able to use the logs until the following winter as they will need to season properly first, but really pleased with actually getting it done...regardless of how much I ache!!:o

Planted on some salad leaves too....hopefully, they will be ready to eat soon as I am fed up with having to buy them....I usually grow them, but didn't do anything over the winter as the greenhouse wasn't in a fit state for anything....but now it is ;)

Getting some runner beans planted next week as getting a few freebies from my sis....never used to be a massive fan in all honesty, but the ones she had last year were really nice....I'm looking forward to them! :D

    Evening everyone

Is anyone sat round waiting for their Eb@y listings to finish? This is usually my favourite part watching the bids go up but I'm ready for bed and I can't go in case I have to answer some daft question or other :rotfl:

Hopefully I will make a dint in my debt.

My phone died I now have the plastic emergency phone that looks like a child's toy........... at least no one will pinch it ;)

    What a beautiful day :D

We went for a walk with the dog by the canal in the next town and spent an hour looking longingly at the posh houses which back onto the canal and have their own moorings. Such beautiful gardens!

The went home to our little terrace in the cheaper town next door :rotfl:

I managed to spill cooking oil on the kitchen floor, so had to wash that, then blitzed the back porch and put away all the things that seem to accumulate / breed there.

Got 2 loads of washing dry outside, and OH gave the dog a haircut and then we bathed her, much to her disgust :rotfl:

Then we planted broad beans, garlic and shallots in the veg plot, and sat in the garden with a glass of wine to admire our handiwork :D

I made Jocasta Innes' onion, bacon and potato hotpot for dinner, as I had some rubbery potatoes to use up. It was lovely, haven't made that for ages!

    AND I didn't spend anything :T
    Perfect :D

    Work tomorrow though :(

    5ml baking powder (1tsp)

    1 egg
    125ml milk (4 fl oz)
Rub marg into flour and baking powder, add cheese, make egg up to 150ml in measuring jug, Mix till smooth :D Cover in interesting toppings, bake 210 for 20-25 mins :) Yum!
    Stodge at its best!
4 loads of washing lovely and dry outside this weekend:D Still not used tumble drier this year :)
Had a bit of an asda direct moment last night :( oops. I'm sure the word sale does something to my brain!
But I have a good excuse..after the hysterectomy none of my clothes now fit me..I swell up every day :( and I've been told this can go on for up to a year! So I have found the joy that is dresses and leggings! I tried a pair of jeggings in a size bigger, fine around swollen tum, but hung from my booty and legs:( and I feel unfeminine enough without a saggy bottom!
But at least today was a nsd as I went nowhere and just sat in the sun for a bit, picked PSB which I can't get rid of and sorted washing!
    Hope everyone is well xx
