I've been gone for two days and I've missed 8 pages of chat. Wow we like to talk :D

Well the reason I haven't been able to keep up with posts and write my own is because I have been crazy busy at home and work. The good news is I have been very productive and very frugal.

My only little extravagance was a trip to our local. Before 6.30 they do a meal deal, and along with a £15 off voucher a 3 course meal for to people cost £13. Bargain :).

I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to read back through the posts and excuse me if you've already mentioned this but did anyone watch Extreme Cheapskates on Sky on Tuesday night? Wow I thought I was tight :rotfl:

All have a lovely day. Hugs to those who need them

    DC1 :)

Naughty DC1 - I'm now ADDICTED to Extreme Cheapskates :rotfl:

It has given me a few ideas ;)

  • Shortie, was it you that said they had a MrT £15 OFF A £50 Spend on line? I had one too, so I am trying to get the max amount I can for my money... After reading a thread over on the food board, where people just only order the value stuff on-line. and some times if they are out of stock they will send you a higher priced replacement...

Our Very local Mr T haven't got the full range of Value items, and our Bigger Mr T's are 8 - 10 miles plus away, So not worth it as the fuel cost out weighs the savings..... sooooooo with this money off code.. I am def going to use it to bulk buy value baked beans etc...

I know I will have to take a trip to Mozzers next week (approx. 15 miles away ) to bulk buy their value range of tinned cat food tray of 6 for £2. which is a saving of 71p per tray compared to the next cheapest. So it is well worth the petrol cost...

Keep an eye out for when Morrisons home deliver in your area - you will certainly save on your fuel then :D

Keeping it frugal here, as always, and now getting ready to start emptying boxes of old paperwork to declutter.

Not managing to keep up on here but I am trying to read the daily email updates, so best wishes to all, good luck and long may you be frugal.

Signed up for Nectar Adpoints to try and boost those so I can transfer them to eBay and cashed out another Amazon voucher from topcashback.

We are doing the interest beater money maker challenge with the Billy cans again this year but that's being run on my frugalforums.co.uk along with this and other challenges.

Have a good day, everyone! :)

    :)

Just been reading up on the Billy Can challenge....sounds interesting. Might do it to stop smoking, especially like the idea of whether or not I'm able to burn a £5 note , it really puts my tobacco addiction into perspective.

how do you get the thing at the bottom of your posts which says how much debt you owe? i want to do that on mine. i would like to be debt free or almost debt free by summer 2015 (being realisitic) i have already quit smoking, and havent smoked for two months but am using an ecig which after the initial payment of thirty five quid has cost me nothing since i still have two vials of 'juice' left to smoke which will last me at least four months if the last vial is anything to go by. i have also switched providers from virgin to sky with a 12 month deal saving me 24 quid a month, at 39 pounds a month with sky versus 63 with virgin for the same package and bearing in mind that virgin were going to put my bill up by a fiver next month anyway! i am also almost at the end of my orange contract and will be saving by getting a giff gaff sim with unlimited data and 500 minutes and unlimited texts for 10 pounds a month. my orange bills were usually around 45 a month so i am excited about these savings.

with all of the above savings, i automatically am saving 112 per month as of the end of feb. how exciting xxxx

i know its really difficult to do, but if you can change to a really decent ecig and stick to it for at least 4 weeks you wont want another cig. i never thought i could do it, ive been smoking 14 years on and off (mostly on) and i have been on the ecig for two months now. i bought the ecig, three vials of 'juice' the battery, a case all for the grand total of 35 quid in november and i havent bought a pack of cigs since. i am still on my first vial of 'juice' (nearly run out) and have saved myself nearly 120 quid so far. its amazing. :j
