Will contact them again tomorrow to see if they will honour a previous offer of a HTC 1 for £22 a month
  • I'm in a similar boat, only I was quoted an upgrade 3 weeks ago (free phone, x cost per month, unltd mins and textx plus 10GB data). I called up today - my actual upgrade date 45 days before end of contract - to be told that yes I could get the offer but the phone would cost £70.

Has anyone had any experiences similar to this or can offer any advice on what to do? I'm understandably disappointed to be told that I now have to fork over £70 to get the phone I was previously told would be free.

    ....what to do?..
Wait until your minimum term is really close to the end and you really are in a position to leave.
Shop around to know what you can get elsewhere as a new or upgrading customer (with quidco/TCB cashback).
Get PAC and wait for a call from retentions.
If they offer you something good, stay. Otherwise vote with your feet.

    As simple as that.
