How's the family reacting to the cutting back?
I'm not convinced they've noticed yet!

Really crazy week this week, so not been online much. We didn't sell the car -took it off the market as we have a really busy two weeks, family member is moving and we have to help out, and so we decided to leave it until the end of the month and try again.
Cap1 card is still open, despite me ringing them three times to close! Apparently it's not "in the process" of being closed, I'll give it a week and then phone up again. It's a Far East call centre and they are very hard to understand.
Have cleared £500 off the debts this month, which isn't too bad, considering it's January and we're recovering from Christmas. Have kept within budget with the grocery shopping, and even had a few quid over for a takeaway last night. :j
Boden are still trying their best, yesterday they sent me a 15% and free delivery code PLUS a tenner gift voucher LOL! I may "buy" a tshirt in the sale for free.
Hope everyone isn't too miserable in this gloomy time of year, I HATE January!
To add: free pair of shoes coming from Boden, thank you very much LOLOL!!Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -

Goodness, I've been so quiet! However, I'm still plugging away. This time of year is so tedious and grim and money is always so tight that I just tend to want to hibernate.
Anyway, car is sold, and I've paid off the Next card and the ISME accounts in full. The Cap1 is also closed and I've put a little bit of money away to cover the kids' birthdays in April. We've also, by doing this, managed to shave a whole month off our DFD! :rotfl:
We are now just plodding along trying to live within our means for the next 6 months, until our two loans finish in Sept/Oct time. This then will free up nearly £600 a month, which means we can start to hammer the remaining debt with overpayments, rather than the minimums we are currently paying.
Next card within my sights is hubby's Barclaycard, which is at a whopping 24%. :mad:Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -
Well done on selling the car and shaving off that month. Hopefully I'll be able to report the same soon. How are you coping without it?Proud to have dealt with our debt. DFW Nerd 1474
