Post Code TW19 - cat living around a bus stop

Little update - got it at 3.10 amI recognised your photo from Windermere, hope it was not too cold! A beautiful place, anytime of the year, but spring is my fav.
So Kitty is doing well. Today we went to my vets as we had started to notice lots of fleas! I had ordered Advantage online, but the delivery has been slow, and couldn't wait until we were totally infested over New Year. The dosage is different for a smaller cat, so what I had indoors was not suitable.
Kitty was treated for fleas, de-matted and microchipped. She has put on weight, just a bit.
The only other observation from the vet was that she had a scabby/crusty ear tip. Her ears are white, and it is a common problem apparently. Too much sun can turn the ears cancerous. It was suggested we have them biopsied, which we will do. If they are pre cancerous etc, the vet can trim the ears so it does not spread.
She is surprisingly confident and friendly. We had a houseful of people today and she welcomed them all! Still growling at my other two cats, and not venturing out of the front room, except when I put her out to clean it! Then she growls, and my cats make a dash for the cat flap!
She has been with us for two weeks, and husband is in love again! He wasn't sure at first that she would fit in.
Anyway, it is time to start integrating her a bit more. I plan to move her litter tray out of the room, and start feeding them all in the same room.
Kitty is physically stronger, and we know she is not a whimp, she will cope.
I believe she wouldn't have lasted the winter living outside, and so do the vets involved, so thanks to everyone who helped.
Happy New Year to all
Kitty has been microchipped - you all now what that means???
Looks like she got her forever home/sofa/humans/food now wohooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
:T:T:T
Thanks again everyone and thanks to Kitty's new mum and dad - I know they are reading here xxx0 -
Aww.....that's great news. I hope they all start getting on a bit better soon too.
Also hope the ear thing is ok, or as stated easily sorted. Not that mine goes out much but I try to smear sun cream on her white tip in the summer now as she does love to sunbathe.....it's a bit of a battle but I usually manage to get some on...lol.
Thank god she's somewhere nice now, rather than a horrible winter and existence outside...and that's a big if that she would have lived through it...poor Kitty.
Anyhow, a good news story now, down to Ewa and GR, and new owner of course.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Everyone got involved in so many ways....
Ewa will go to see Kitty (with new Kitty's mum permission of course, will arrange something) after New Year when she has some time off and to pass on the kind donations we have received for the kitty to her new mum - should help with vet bills a little bit.
Thanks a million again everyone xx0 -
In all her 8 or 9 years of neglect ,this must have been the best xmas pressie Kitty could possibly have had.
Probably on the streets she had to fight other cats for food, etc,so it is no wonder she is hesitant about others in close proximity. But i am sure it will come.
Has no one been scouring the streets round the bus stop for missing posters...............?
No ,cos they don't and never will,exist.0 -
No "missing cat" posters - Ewa walks that way twice per day. None.0

It was obvious from the start they didn't give a fig,so why bother now?
So sad when you look at the heartache when Sazzybum's dog went missing. The extreme efforts she put in to find him, compared with this case, just shows what an unfair world it is and how caring is very much hit and miss for animals as to whether they get good owners or horrible ones.
Thanks for the lovely update,Getting Ready.0 -
Just popping in to say Happy New Year to all, and especially kitty and new mum for taking her in, and those who helped her.
Thought I'd do it now before all the madness starts and my mobile crashes.
