I love getting updates from Kitty's new mum
She also said she may take Kitty to groomers she uses - wohooooooooooooooo, one very pampered Kitty.
Ewa is terribly busy now but as soon as she can, she will sort out the Kitty's kittyinfo (thanks a million again you know who, all arrived at Ewa's safely, including the lovely cards and messages xxx) and deal with Kitty's mum directly as they are not too far from each other.
Actually, Ewa would love to see Kitty again - she really wanted to keep her herself but with her dogs this never was an option so thanks again everyone on this thread for all the support given to Kitty n so many different, kind ways xxx
And hello to Kitty's new mum as I know she is watching this thread - she got the tools recommended on here0 -
Feliway spray or plug in or rescue remedies might help the cat settle.
ive just had to separate two of mine after 18 months of living together peacefully, one ginger tom has decided the other has to go and its not ideal, but dont worry if they dont bond straight away, cat has been through a lot.0 -
Looking out of the window I am dreading today's dog walk - so glad that kitty is dry and warm inside on the sofa and not under a car/behind a pile of bricks wating for someone, anyone to MAYBE feed her.
She could not have possibly kept warm with that weight, just skin covering her poor bones.0 -
re shaving the cat, my mum has a persian and his coat gets clumpy. she manages to comb him but never in a million years would he let someone shave him. when its been done a vet has done it and hes been sedated, hes also been to a cat and dog groomers where hes been combed while in a harness.
id never attempt to shave a cat unless i was trained to do it.0 -
I know it's a busy time of year for everyone, but could we ask for a couple of pics of kitty over the next day or so? Would be lovely to see how she's doing bless her. Also an update on how the paw is doing would be good again.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0

I have a Persian called Barney - he gets groomed every day. takes five minutes. BUT, he does have to be heavily bribed with Dreamies! he HATES being groomed. and when son got him he had had a 'lion cut' the poor sod! (I suspect he knew how stupid he looked?) he gets enough grooming to keep him matt free and comfortable.
Miss Kitty is a medium hair cat from the pics - def not short hair but not a long hair either.
I wouldn't try to shave an un-known cat. an angry cat is a dangerous cat. Ewa, don't attempt it. the vet shaved the worst off and the rest can be managed by regular combing. in a month I bet it will all have grown back! and she will look beautiful.
I would love to receive pics and more updates - but, Miss Kitty now has a new home and it sounds brilliant. I am happy with that knowledge.0 -
Just nipping in to say happy xmas kitty, and bet it's the best you have had for a while, and hope things are a bit better with other kittys in the house. If not, i'm sure we can put our heads together and help to find a solution.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... yes - and for those who would prefer Miss Kitty to spend Christmas and the rest of her life in a bus shelter - because her 'owners' have rights, then you really do not understand what 'rescue' is all about.
Happy Christmas! Gettingready, Ewa and Miss Kitty's new owners - YOU all understand the REAL message of Christmas!
Blessings to you all!0 -

Those who believe an 'owner' has a right over welfare are never going to agree..but you choose your battles wisely in this field if you have sense.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Yeah - but you can work 'undercover' and make a real difference to a cat. and I believe that if you cant change the world, then change one persons/cats/dogs/polar bears/snow leopards life. Sometimes you need to do something which is not exactly 'legal'. but necessary.0
