I have to agree also, from these new photos it looks neglected but it doesn't look like a 19 year old cat. Be interesting what age the vet estimates.
Getting ready, I know you say your friend can't keep it as she has dogs, but could she not keep it in one room whilst she is out like it is now, some might say thats not fair to the cat but in these circumstances it is miles better than it is used to and it looks very happy. I don't blame her for getting attached to it, who wouldn't?0 -
Good morning
Kitty slept nicely all nigh. She eats, sleeps and then demands attention - which she gets
At no point she was demanding to be let out, the window was open for a while to see what she will do, she looked out, got back in to HER blanket.
She is using the litter tray, she is a very good kitty.0 -
And she likes her toy mouse0
-
Ewa is brushing her now, you won't recognise her by the evening
Kitty not protesting too much to a brush, she obviously enjoys the attention.
This is the cat that "does not want to come outside and prefers to live out" - yeahhhh rite....0 -
Thanks for pics gettingready! oh the way she is holding on to her toy! almost as if she expects to have it pinched off her! that slightly bemused look on her face 'Is this really mine? For me?' OH Bless her!
and blessings rain down on you and Ewa too!0 -
I don't want to get back into any old arguments, but have you at least put a note through the owner's door so they know their cat isn't dead in a gutter somewhere and is safe?0
-
No, we will wait for the owner to put out "missing cat" notes..
After all, they are the caring ones and we are the monsters...0 -
The owner will get some photos, with a cat with toys, food, on a bed in a nice warm place, once we have a permanent home for it.
BUt not yet, we will see if they worry a LITTL bit first and put up posters.0 -

Um, are you not going to wait and see what the vet says first before you decide they definitely aren't getting their cat back?0
