On the subject of names, my parents lumbered me with three that I totally detested - so I ditched the lot and chose my own, dispensing with middle names entirely.:D When I divorced the KH, I was going to change my last name by deed poll too, but in the end didn't bother, because Mr LW and I got married just three months after my Decree Absolute came through.:o

Mr LW's parents gave him and his two sisters names they liked, with one middle name each so that if they didn't care for the first, they had an alternate to use; this was the case with Mr LW's dad, who was Frederick Roy, but always known as just Roy.:o
The new school visit was a resounding success...hopefully I can get him in there. The Headteacher's ethos, is school should be a D!sneyland for Learning .......if they want to come to school everyday that's half the battle. Fencing is one of the after school activities :D
Oh wow - cool! Fencing was the only sport I was any good at; mind you, I had a bit of an unfair advantage, I was the only one in the class who fenced left-handed.:D
LW how is the waistcoat coming along?

Natty how is Olliecat? Woody is fine now
*coughs in embarrassment* Um.... I'm afraid I haven't done any more since the 10 rows the other day; just haven't had time, everything's taking a long time because my wrists are so painful.:(

    Glad Woody is ok.:T

Those with kids or anyone in the 'know', adopted gs came back from school, in a mood, as it seems, his team from cubs, didn't get in to round 2 of a quiz they were having about Father Christmas, bearing in mind I am in Asia, Father Christmas is not really high on the agenda here!! they failed on 3 questions.
    1. Who's birthday is on 25th December. He accepted his team didn't know this.
    2. What does father Christmas drink, his team answered sherry or beer, both of which were wrong, it seems the correct answer is orange juice......now I have never heard of this OJ indeed, am I out of touch??
    3. Name all the reindeer.........they managed 2.

But he is most cross about the orange juice answer, and wants me to tell the leader that she was wrong! so what does FC drink?
    Kaz I could answer Question 1, but I'm afraid I wouldn't have a scooby about Questions 2 and 3.:o

I shall, it seems, have to clean the kitchen again today - my tasks for the day include making pizza for dins (base is done, need to construct the topping), make a loaf (in the BM as I type) and make a cherry'n'coconut cake (to be done when I've posted this).

I really need to take the white vinegar to the shower screen, but I may have to defer this, depends how my wrists are when I've finished the food prep.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Daily stuff done
Tree up finally, small dog kept knocking it over, so it is now up on a table out of the way.
    Swimming done.

    Take care x

We usually leave milk out for santa - wouldn't want him drinking and driving would we?
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
  • Santa has a cider when he comes to our house :D I think we're different to most normal houses though!

Work decluttered, YS spaghetti carbonara munched. Going to have an HHC 2.30-3 if anyone wants to join in the fun?

Kaz - in this house FC drinks Baileys or whiskey ;) Last year he had a whole mug of Baileys so I'm surprised he managed to finish delivering :rotfl:He also has a mince pie or choc chip cookies and a carrot or apple for the reindeer. :)

I've stripped my sofa big style. I could smell something awful and couldn't work out where it was coming from. Seat/back cushions have been washed, half a bottle of fabric freshener all over it and I could still smell this horrible smell. So I've cut the bottom off and found loads of piles of green mould and the smell was much worse. Cleaned it all out, and half vacuumed the livingroom now its smelling much sweeter. The sofa is damp so I can't put it back until it's dried out properly.

I've also been juggling washing slowly. WM x 3 about to go in, just put the machine on a rinse incase any residue off the sofa cushions was in there. TD x4 now. Only 2 loads of washing to go which includes the other sofa cover, which could prove interesting....

Going to make a coffee and watch something for a bit as I'm pooped.:(

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

I was with you, pigpen, but then a friend popped by at 1 so been having a cuppa and a natter whilst the girls played. OMG just been upstairs now and DD bedroom is littered with toys and dressing up stuff - gah!

And there are jigsaw pieces all over the LR. Oh, never mind...

I did get to grips with the kitchen in my hhc and shuffled DS bedding that I had to wash this morning :o bless him. He will be tired as he never went back to sleep after shouting me. On the plus side, he read me his new school book :D at 5.30 this morning  aww he managed to spell "grasshopper" and then sound the word out too :T

I really need to start some wrapping too...

    :T Congratulations to Dusty's DS2 - I presume that's the one he really really wanted??? :T

Yesterday he really wanted UCL and that was brilliant, LSE was a give it a go as a dream sort of thing. It will be a difficult decision and I think will swing from one to the other :D I shall listen and try not to sway his decision bearing in mind we know where the lovely :money: went.

Need to quickly stash the presents now before DS3 gets home, cook dinner and DS2 has the reality of Mr W to go and stack shelves at for now and put the WM on.
