  • Healing vibes heading to piggers.

First load of washing done. Second load about to go in. DD2 decluttered to work. Porridge cooking.

I am very worried about DD2. a succession of bugs have laid her very low and she has a cold she can't shake off. Given her sister's health I worry....

  • I has a major falling out with my ExMIL when I refused to give my DD the middle name "Ann", which all the girls in their family have. It was after some great great giddy aunt or some such and I refused on the grounds that I wasn't going to give my child a name I couldn't even remember the provenance of.

None of my children have middle names, neither do I, I don't think it's caused me much hardship in my life ;)

I feel poo this morning -- I often get the big bad winter blues but I thought I'd avoided them this festive season. Talk about tempting fate.

Off to work and hoping not to blub on a customer's shoulder :(

Ds1 is better but now DD and DS2 are being poorly everywhere, I just cant keep up with washing and drying.

Dd was going to watch a panto with school this morning but cant go now, I need to iron today but I don't know if I will get the chance now.

I am going to have a read of the list and see what I can do.

Morning all - Pigpen - hope you are feeling a little better today and dot too. Have you been to Doctor? Not sure if you have mentioned it in previous post. Just concerned.

heck no... I'm far too ill to make the effort to get there. I don't do doctors until I have been unwell for at least 4 weeks.. it's only been 2 ;) .. I have very little faith plus it is a viral infection so nothing they can do anyway.

I actually feel worse today.. cold day 3 is always the worst.. my head is thick and woolly.. tomorrow will be better.

Dot is up at a sensible hour.. her nose is streaming but better out than in!!! Her temp has come down a little so hopefully she is on the mend :D

DD3 has turned into psychoteen overnight pmsl.. she is 13 next Thursday!.. she spent yesterday evening and this morning flouncing and stomping.. she was being nasty to the boys about their hair yesterday for about half an hour.. until we mentioned hers looked like a squirrels tail (it is waist length and curly and had been brushed so it was fluffy) that soon shut her up.. it was funny though.. it is ok for her to call them names but can't deal with it when it is done back!

My kitchen is devastated.. I have mountains of washing I have no energy to wash

Fizz... the family 'John' is from my great great uncle John who was my grans favourite and killed in WWII.. I know where it is from but it has no significance to me so silly. A younger son would have Edward after my great granddad I did know and love very much, plus I don't mind the name.. though I'd probably just use 'Ted' as that was what he was always called.. my brothers middle names are 'Edward John' and his first name is the same as my OH and my cousin so I wouldn't use that either. My gran was miffed I didn't use any of their names. DD2 has Clare as her middle name after my deceased sister because I promised my gran I would use it.

    Morning all

8:15 orthotics appointment, seen at 9:50 - they had sent the orthotists to the wrong hospital, I despair. So many inconvenienced patients.

I now will have to drive DS2 over to school as the second bus goes at 9:20 and the next will get him in late for his lesson, that is an end to my plans for shopping this morning as I have to invigilate. I'll take my purse incase I have a really good run and can nip into Mr Al.

DH got an early flight and was home last night which would have been lovely apart from he rang at 10:40 after I was asleep to say he was at Heathrow and again at 12:30 waking me again to say he could not get in as he had no keys. If he had emailed before getting the flight these things could have been avoided!

Right going to wash up and put the WM on whilst drinking my tea then head off with DS2.

Piggers hope you and yours are better soon

CY try not to worry and hope DD is recovered soon

LW how is the waistcoat coming along?

Natty how is Olliecat? Woody is fine now

Rebecca and Ionafan great work on your challenges

I've just had another sort through DD's wardrobe and CoD and they're now almost empty :o She's gone from a size 6/8 in January to a 12 and I've just filled 2 boxes with the stuff she's out grown (easier to store than binbags atm). I've even dug out her summer wardrobe stuff (I put it away or she'd be walking around in a vest top complaining she's cold when its sub-zero outside!) and have found a few more bits to put in the wardrobe but most of it is going to the charity shop!

Going to fling some washing in now which is mainly the stuff to go to charity as they're a bit whiffy after being stored, and do some online shopping at M@t@lan for some essentials I want to order as they never seem to have her size in store. Then onto Mr As clothing to add a few essentials there, Mr A grocery to get that booked, and then I'll make a start on the accounts updating as I need to see if I can book a grocery delivery this weekend (and get some of DDs gifts in with it - doing her a goodies hamper in her new bedroom bin..yes she asked for a new bin for her bedroom for Christmas, she's a strange child :rotfl:). Think I might put the TV on while I do all this, I might as well watch a film for company
