all my children have 'e' 'y' in them Skye, Finley and Freddy not to everyones taste but each to their own. My Oh has had the snip now so no more babies.
Skinty that sounds complicated haha its a good tradition though my Dd middle name is Edith after my gran she passed away when I was 5 months pregnant, I wanted to call Dd Edie but was worried on paper people might think it was Eddy.... Oh choose her name.
I have hoovered now for a cuppa
Dancemum I hope your Dad starts to make progress soon, you sound like your juggling a lot at the moment please take care of yourself too x0 -
Second week in and I'm already seeing the benefits! Bathroom took little time to clean tonight and spent majority time doing infrequent jobs like the mirror, showerscreen, window, whole bathroom looks sparkling.
I'm going to try to do as much as I can in the time I have but little and often is my new mantra!
We have identified a couple of 'hotspots' which are getting the 'every-time-I-walk-by-I-tidy' treatment, which is brilliant!
Thanks all!0 -

DS horsepiddle appointment yesterday went well, they will see him again in 2 months to see about patching aka playing pirates. The new school visit was a resounding success...hopefully I can get him in there. The Headteacher's ethos, is school should be a D!sneyland for Learning .......if they want to come to school everyday that's half the battle. Fencing is one of the after school activitiesReward for this term for 100% attendance is a brand new BMX, for the summer term just gone it was an Ipad. DS enjoyed the outdoor classrooms especially the Pirate Ship and the Outdoor Music Room (new outdoor classrooms in the offing include a mini farm with hens, micro pigs and goats, and a pond area for pond dipping and mini-beast hunt and a Hobbit Hole Library)....if I had my time again, I would want to go there! :j DS was most indignant this morning that I took him to his pre-school nursery and wanted to be at the Big School. The two school visits I have scheduled for next week will just be a formality.
DD4 is being a mini beast of her own tonight, and I think she is going to get her two top teeth (lots of Calpol in the house, so I will be ok) cue a cheesy rendition of "All I want for christmas is my two front teeth!"
Right, this list isn't getting much smaller despite some Toots job biting the dust - time to get DD4 tucked up and start again
Hugs, sticks, spoons, rockets - whatever's your poison....help yourselves see you all later :wave:The cold never bothered me anyway0 - Get those last minute cards and presents posted!! send my customary email to new found family in NZ & Aus soon

Instead of coffee I ended up washing up, then making tea (so I had no dirty dishes for a whole 2 minutes :rotfl:), tidied up all my work stuff, juggled the laundry (WM x7 in :j) then sorted money to pay into the bank on Friday and got really annoyed at the fact I don't have that many full bags of coins to pay in. I just hope everyone coughs up the money tomorrow or I'll struggle to pay the bill next week
DD is glued to Charmed so its going to be a quiet night. Think I'm going to do some ironing after washing the tea dishes. I need to find out how much clothing DD has left now I've had a sort out of stuff that's too small:wave:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Not much done today as both DS1 and I have been ill. I did make a start on the bathroom at least and the inevitable DW is on.skint_breeder_5 wrote: »Reward for this term for 100% attendance
Its an interesting idea but must be difficult for the parents of children with genuine health problems. My DS had to be off today and he was bewailing the resulting loss of his good attendance pencil case. I dread to think what he would have been like for an iPad!
Dancemum - hope your DF picks up soon. SS was in intensive care in N (queens) a few months ago after a serious car crash and they forgot DH was waiting a few times. He is isn't shy of putting himself forward either so not just you.

skinty - that first born son receiving father's name as a middle name happened here - it is tradition in OH's family. But..... O/H has a name commencing with A - which meant that there was a problem:- my initial idea of David Robert Alan was vetoed because our surname begins with B - and he wasn't going to be drab!
I settled on David graham Alan....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
