Apology accepted :) (I like being called Mrs Weekend - sounds like somebody's exotic mistress :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
  • If he has Aspergers' Syndrome, he might need a little more help, both to seek work and to move. He needs to see a Disability Advisor at the Jobcentre and actually lodgings may probably be better for him than trying to get a flat on his own. He may also need an advocate to guide him through the Benefits system. It's a shame his parents are not more supportive. Obviously all this depends on how far along the spectrum he is, although if he has managed a degree in a subject like engineering I imagine he is quite high-functioning.

((My son and his girlfriend both have AS so I speak from a position of knowledge).
