How often do you wash your car?

Not very often as it costs me a tenner a time. This weather its hardly worth the effort.I have a Vauxhall Zaphira 7 seater and as I am only 5ft 4" I would have to climb a ladder to do it myself. It will get done again come spring,no point with the bad weather arriving and the roads getting salted.0

DH cleans ours when I nag, it was about 4 times a year, then he got a sticker from themes water saying 'proud to be dirty, I'm using water wisely' which means I'm lucky if he does it twice a year nowWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240

I've never washed my car since I've had it (4.5 years).
My last car was washed perhaps twice a year, in the local car wash drive-in machine.
I have a brand new car now and have had that for 2 months and it hasn't yet been washed but I will do this one regularly, esp through winter when salt and muck is all over the roads.
I will pay someone to do the inside when it needs doing - the inside of the old car didn't get done for 4 years and with 2 small children, I cannot begin to tell you how bad that got!!! Thank god I scrapped it rather than sell it on as I didn't have to clear it out. It went with all the crap it was filled with!!!0 -
I washed my car in 1997. And then I sold it................and never bought another.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I wash it when we have had salt on the roads and when it gets too dirty which probably equates to about four times a year. It's a small car and so it doesn't take long. I hoover it out and dust/polish inside once in the Spring0

Every two months I take it to some lovely Polish people who have a patch on the local trading estate. They clean inside and out, always pay particular attention to the windows as I can't stand a dirty windscreen, black the tyres, wash underneath the sills, empty the ashtray of sweet wrappers etc, for £13. They stamp a card so that I get every sixth wash free. Excellent service and value, I could never do such a good job myself.0

I do mine about once a week sometimes a little longer this time of year due to weather conditions. Last time I did mine was last Sunday and did two cars with snow foam and then washed down with pressure washer. PW is back in for repair again had it less than a week fro being repaired hopefully this time I get it back repaired properly still under warranty
I never use others to do my car or a car wash I value my paintwork too much I value a clean car just the way I always looked after cars both mechanical and for looks0 -
not washed current (new to me) car in the 3 months i had it. old car washes about 4 years ago when the back was pelted with eggs (it was frozen as it was a winters evening and by the time i had run the heating had run egg was cooked) i had to take it to my parents (after scraping scrambled egg off) as i dont have a hosepipe. did the whole car as i had the opertunity. before that i took the car to the carwash before a holiday about 9 years ago and then lost it in tescos car park as it was so bright and shiney i walked past it... ok not as often as i should.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0
