I get it cleaned inside and outside three or four times a year at a cost of £8 a time. I never clean it myself.
That's a good deal. Where you have it done?

I admit, not very often . I washed it today morning.

At least every week, sometimes twice a week, but then it usually just requires a foam over and rinse off with the power washer, in the winter I spray the lower with shampoo mix and use a forecourt power washer to rinse the road salt etc off, vacuum once a week, stop the grit rubbing into the fibres of the carpet and wearing out out sooner , but then I do like to keep my car as new.
  • Ours usually get cleaned every four to six weeks, unless they're really disgusting although I always clean off bird lime or anything else that marks the paint work as soon as I see it. I'm not too fussy about the inside as there's only me and DH the vast majority of the time so it stays reasonably clean. I do like it when they go for a service though asI always get a full valet for free :rotfl:

    Not often enough!
I took it to the car wash this morning. A great hand car wash near where i live, i paid £10 for the guys to wash it outside and hoover it inside.
It was a state, so £10 was well worth it!

i want to keep on top of it now, and get it done every other Saturday.

Wow never buy a used car from you guys. Once a week in winter minimum from a hand car wash where they do it for you, gets rid of the salt etc. that's based on around 500 miles in a week. If I wasn't doing the mileage I still do it at least once a fortnight in winter.

The inside gets ignored a lot and if I had to do it myself then it'd probably not get done that often but since moving to a new build with water meter I'm ultra conscious that three quid for someone to wash it or five quid for wax and tyre dressing too is probably cheaper and certainly warm and easier for someone else to do!

DH washes the outside of ours whenever he feels it needs it (probably about once a month? I've never really kept tabs). He vacuums the inside every week, when he does the weekly check of the oil, lights, tyres and wash-bottle. That probably sounds a bit OCD, but my wheelchair lives behind the front seats, and often has mud or other detritus on the wheels when it's put in, so he likes to keep that cleaned out, and feels he might as well do the front footwells and the boot while he's at it.:o

Most weeks, including door shuts, generally hoover when needed, which is more often in the back as somehow one biscuit can cover the entire floor.
  • I wash mine when people start writing rude messages in the dirt. Just kidding, it's usually every couple of months, when I feel like it.

I've never washed my car since I've had it (4.5 years).
  • Had my car for a year. The only time it got washed and cleaned was when my mum borrowed it when I was on holiday!
