What days do you work over Christmas/new Year?

My daughter is a carer and is working 7-2 on Christmas Eve, 3-10 on Christmas Day, and 8-3 on Boxing Day. Her day off is 27th December, and then she is in work until New Year's Eve. This is her third Christmas Day in work, but she accepts that she has chosen this career, and doesn't mind. Some of the elderly residents won't see anybody else over Christmas apart from their carers, whilst others will visit family or have family visit them.
There are no holidays allowed in December, but next year she won't be working on Christmas Day, as she will be on maternity leave. Otherwise, she would have been on an early shift.0 -
I've got Xmas Day, Boxing Day and NYD off, although technically I might have to provide remote coverage when the financial markets are open. Certainly some of my colleagues are working those days."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

Local Authority worker.
Office closed on 24 and 25 December and 1 Jan. 'Stat' day on the 27th which doesn't have to be taken as annual leave. However we need to staff this day so if you work it you can take it off another time.
For the second time in my working career I am taking a week off at Christmas (23 and rest of that week) as we are going away but am back in on the 30 Jan.0 -

Doing the overnight on Xmas eve through to afternoon of Xmas day. Back in Boxing Day afternoon. Then a few days off and back in for new year.
Those of you saying you haven't got rotas yet, I'd be peed off about that. I felt guilty and the staff were giving me dirty looks when I wasn't able to get them done for the end of November. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
