Tremendous achievements Nikkster!
That wall we were really proud of painting earlier in the year looks really patchy in the bright light. Oops.
Got some of the veg bed covered up with cardboard for later in the year, left some out to start weeding for soon. I've started the grass cutting. Did some spraying of other patches.
We're just going. To go and do some wood for the week in a bit. Winds too busy to do more spraying and I'm going to have a go at weeding myself this year. Technically I'm not meant to bend over especially for long periods of time but I'm feeling really well, and if I weed from a sitting or kneeling position and slowly i can see how it goes, and my head should still be highest point, its just a lot slower..

One good thing today: I didn't post in the Scottish thread. That always improves my day.
I did some hedge cutting as a result of the electricity company replacing the wire and electricity poles I had to get as much of the wire away from the telephone lines as possible.
Apart from that, I think I got a little mild sunburn today...
Had an easy afternoon.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Well, the wheelie bin is full (I only just managed to get it up the 3 steps to where it lives), so I've packed everything away and am enjoying the G+T I provided myself when I got this far (no groin thrusting though
). Phew!

You've done a lot, Nikkster, I guess that hard part comes now, though, deciding what you're going to put into that flower bed you've just discovered“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

The one thing I do know is that it needs to be something that is happy without getting any direct sunlight.
Judging by what I've removed, that includes brambles, dandelions and mint (and something that smells like citronella). I expect I'll be seeing them all again as there were a LOT of roots and I didn't really have anything substantial by way of tools to deal with them.
I'm not expecting it to be the most productive part of the garden, but it was really annoying me how awful it looked so I feel like I've achieved something. There are plenty more bin loads to be removed from the rest of the garden. But not this weekend (or next I think)
Just corrected a bee to be - reminded me that I've seen quite a few bees today and at least 3 different types of butterfly0 -
Lovely day for walking in the park. I have never seen so many people. I do wonder if house prices have forced more and more people to live in flats and hence make use of public park areas when the weather is good. Funnily enough I was thinking today that this year I won't need to go and sit in a park! The noise of the main road is a bit more than I remembered it being at the back, but I'll get over it.
This is the other end of the garden:

Help from some of you lovely NP science types would be very welcome - I'm completely out of my depth, and OH (who might well be able to help) isn't here.
Isaac and I were talking about matter and energy, and how you can't lose anything for good, but they can change into other states of being. So far, so good.
But then he said that some things, like gravity, are neither matter nor energy, and went off into a discussion about how curvature of space in 4 dimensions shows that Newton was wrong in some ways about gravity. He says he watched a programme about it on OH's computer before Christmas.
Is he right? I've tried looking it up online, but what I can find is either too simplistic or completely over my head. Are there other exceptions to the matter / energy idea apart from gravity?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Can't you get him into Teletubbies or something instead?!
I have no idea, not my type of science. I bet Lydia has a good answer though...0
