This reminds me of an old horror movie I saw as a kid where a scientist looked down a microscope at a slide and then recoiled in horror shouting "But this is WOLF blood!"There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

The other catagory of long ones, for my mother, was the over-anxious parents who wanted to know what their bright, hard-working 11 year olds should be doing on top of normal homework and exams in order to get into Oxford, or whatever. So Mama had various ways of saying, "give the kid a break!"...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
This made me laugh!
Bloke goes to the Wolves shop. Buys a football top. Gets home & finds the club badge has been sewn on upside down. So he writes a letter of complaint.
This is the response from Matt Grayson of Wolves:

That's how it should be done jelly. Very smart. Very funny.
I note that they offer to increase the value of the shirt by having it signed but not replacing the shirt. Interesting ploy that, they have no replacement cost and the guy has a one of a kind souvenir. The cost of a ticket to a home game is negligible too. Very clever. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? .it will take her longer to get home though,
I had a simply lovely time. Although noticed the generation gap which hides itself nicely on here.
It was the beautiful hair, bright eyes and fresh line free face that did it.
Got home about half an hour ago as I needed to go in to work to write a proposal for our CEO for an urgent 8am meeting tomorrow. I have sent apologies but needed to contribute. The Medical Director will present it for me - he and another I discussed it with this evening thought it "brilliant". So a good attempt and I feel pleased that I have done it even if it goes nowhere.
I have just explained to my husband that i think because i had such a lovely day with a friend it made it easier to write the paper, my thinking and structure were clearer. The recipients will be pleased as I kept it to two sides of paper.0 -

Maybe it was the pose, perhaps he's clean! His haircut can change his apparant age a lot, but he's as tall as his dad now (shh!!). I noticed when he came out school that he stripped off the top part of his morphsuit. He had his underarmour on, which did change him from looking slight in the red to more shoulder-y and muscular. It might be that.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I was gushing about your hair cut and skin. It was more likely the gushing.
I am happy you had a good day too..

Oh yes. We have some wonderful parents at my school, but also some tiger parents and some unrealistic parents of non-academic types who put their kids through a nightmare by making them attempt to do things at which they've no significant chance of succeeding.vivatifosi wrote: »That's how it should be done jelly. I wondered that, except that the offer is to go into the dressing room to get "both shirts" signed - implying that they've given him a proper one as well.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
