I had a delivery today of something, but just got an email saying it will be delivered Tomorrow. Hmmm.

    Techno error?

If not and its delivered twice do I have to pay return? Its more than one item, I could use a second of one of the items but to the others, unless I keep them t use as Christmas gifts, buying them might be easier than returning tbh.

I ordered the new Mogwai box set album a couple of weeks ago from Picadilly records.

Have to say their service has always been first class.

Got a text over the weekend to advise it would be delivered monday.
Got an email monday morning saying it had been dispatched.
Got a text mid afternoon monday advising it had been delivered, & even gave the name of who'd signed for it.

Brilliant! Better than amazon, & they pay their taxes too!:)
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Normal? Is that hat normal in Herts?
That'd make me stare across the street, potentially to walk into a lamppost.

Lydia, mystery to me how anyone could criticise that hat, it's a perfectly normal everyday hat and I think she looks rather stylish.:)

PN, you'd have had to lie down in a darkened room if you'd seen the one I wore to Mr Bugs funeral, Philip Treacy original, black velvet, with a huge sweep of irridescent feathers across the front. If it hadn't cost two months mortgage, I'd wear it more often, instead I view it as a work of art to be appreciated occasionally.

And I'm in the middle of making a friend a lime green ( her choice ) sinamay cloche - now that is scary!:rotfl:

I know some quakers and never knew them to have any particular dress code. Doubt they're wear designer clothes though.

I've a lot of respect for them as a religion, and as a community. Don't seem to have the hair covering/not covering concerns other religions seem to have preoccupations with either.

A former colleague is a quaker. Very pleasant, wise, trustworthy and good fun.

No differentiated clothing. Just an all round good egg.

I know a few quakers, & just found them to be generally friendly people.

They scored a big plus for me by stopping tesco getting a licence for one of their stores in birmingham.

Apart from bobble hats as a child and a £1 beanie hat and my latest acquisition of a £1 bobble hat with earflaps..... I've never had a hat.

Oh wow bugs......would you share a picture of it? You pt hat?

I think the hat is fine too. Personal,y I think the proportion of brim to hat height is very very slightly uncomfortable on her attractive and slight face the hat seems a little tall if one really stares, but.....nothing 'odd'.

I like a hat. Mine are in boxes and I do not wear the. Enough because the boxes are stacked and its all too much faff.

Maybe I should try more pasta, for quick meals..... never thought about it. Could quickly roast some tomatoes/onions with some herby stuff ... and bung it onto a bowl of pasta. Never thought of it, always only ever experienced bland pasta sauces.... might do that.... right now I've a whole loaf to plough through in the next week.... and a dozen eggs. Both of which have a finite lifespan... and I've some spuds that I bought over 2 weeks ago that are sprouting, so need to use those up too.

I think that's why I get stuck in my rut. When you start by buying 2-3 ingredients that have a 2-3 week lifespan you end up eating just those to get through them.

1.5Kg spuds, 1 loaf of bread, 15 eggs..... starts to suck you into a vortex of "the same quick meals every day".
Same when I buy a punnet of tomatoes... gotta use them up. Even a £1 bag of onions can lurk for 2-3 months and keep calling your name, but with a potato/bread/egg base it's hard to fit those in.

So it usually ends up as: cheese/potato mash and scrambled eggs on toast a lot.
