  • I was there again last week - but at the top, taking photos.... it all looked shut up. It was the wrong time/weather for me to go clambering over the cliff edge fence to get the shots I wanted ... it was windy/wet and bleak, so dangerous. Couldn't get the whole beach in view.

Good move - it's so not been the right weather, of late, for wandering around cliff tops and nipping up and down stone cliff stairs.

He found it on searching for 'star gazing'. Why not have a look and see if there is one for your phone?

My macputer is refusing me new apps till I put payment details in. :(. I'm loathe to do that (I only 'buy ' free apps so I don't know why it wants payment details) so I'm not buying anything new ATM.

I've downloaded stuff via iTunes to my phone with no payment details needed, then transferred it over (one of the office lot showed me how to do it)

Would Google Play help you LiR? I've never downloaded from it, just put music for sale.

That sounds good. I've always wanted to know what's up there, without waiting for a clear night and standing for hours with a book, trying to work it out ... only to forget it again next time.

I often look up and see a bright thing and think "that's a planet... no idea which one though".

I've got 'Google Sky Map' on my phone - I definitely didn't pay for it. As far as I can tell it's pretty good. As far as I can tell :)

Edit: I've got an android phone

    Boys.

If they're not messing with your mind, they're messing with your friend's mind, and you're trying to scrabble around picking up the pieces.

    :(

Edit: moment of panic, but I think I got my 'your's and 'you're's the right way round

My elder boy's not messing with my mind, honest - he's just been bathed, read to, and is now tucked up in bed. The younger boy is kicking me from the inside, but that's more messing with my body than my mind.....

I had a ZX81! 1kB of memory, expandable to 16kB (which I did). I later upgraded to a Spectrum and then an Atari of some sort. I used to write computer games for them on rainy days.

Ah, that takes me back :j

We had a ZX81 with the memory. I remember it being plugged into my parents' ancient B&W telly, with a game where you had to land the plane. I once got it down to the ground with the wings level - only to forget to put the wheels down! :rotfl: Never did land it successfully. But was rather good at frogger, if memory serves right :o

We graduated onto the C64, which was in Colour! Monopoly was extra exciting, with it making a 2-tone nee-nah noise and flashing dark / light blue around the edges when you got sent to jail. Happy Days :)

Rather enjoying a superbly gruesome mediaeval set of murders in Midomer Murders. They do relish their storylines. My money's on the vicar, of course!

And I'm sure they'll grow up to be lovely men.

Sadly even that still doesn't guarantee that they won't get themselves and others into awkward situations.

For the record, I know that women can be equally as bad.

Aren't we all pretty much guaranteed to put ourselves and others in awkward situations occasionally? I mean. Some more than others sure but.....I do my best:o

We didn't have any kind of games system when I was young, my best friend had one though so it wasn't as if I am too old! Mind you, my parents didn't move into the VCR age until I had left home, so that tells you how technically minded my parents were.

It didn't bother me though, as long as dad had a decent record player which would play my dance training music, I didn't care. For downtime, a book has always been my first choice and that has not changed with age or time.

Bit of an eurgh day today, mine and my neighbour's drains were blocked and spewing all manner of disgusting stuff, several phone calls later from both of us whilst the housing association were trying to palm it off on the local water company and the water company trying to pass it back and it is sorted..main drain, so water company responsibility...no more smelly, spewing drain.

I've also developed a cyst on my upper leg, I'm prone to them due to the EDS but I think this has become infected and it is starting to make me feel a little under the weather, so think it might be local hospital time tomorrow to get it sorted (they do those sort of things at our little hospital rather than at the doctors surgery). Not looking forward to that at all...it blooming hurts!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Oh yes, of course.

In this situation 'awkward' is a complete understatement. It was inevitable that it was going to end badly, but it still doesn't make it any easier when it all hits the fan.

Its enough to make me want to be single! Oh wait...
