About once a term schools have fundraising days where kids are allowed not to wear uniform if they come in with a donation - sometimes it is a quid, sometimes it is a bottle for the summer/christmas fair tombola.I think....0

I'm puzzled that little kiddies are allowed to go into school carrying bottles of alcohol. I guess at that age you trust them to hand it in.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Umm DW or I walk in to school with DKs and hand bottles to teacher/pta person who is in charge of collecting and DKs feel that they have 'paid their due' for being allowed not to wear uniform. Problem?I think....0

I get it, at least.
Presumably when you or Mrs S take the children to school, considering that they are still rather small, you hand the stuff over to their teacher or suchlike. It's much like taking anything in for the summer fete - the stuff gets there, including alcohol in the tombola, because it was donated.
It might have been your turn of phrase that makes it sound so exciting
