Help! Phone stolen - £780 later

They were talking on Moneybox R4 yesterday about the charges that people got when their phones were stolen, and what they could do to try and get a fair result.

Its not difficult.

I had a Galaxy S3 on an 18 month contract. £26 per month for 500 minutes, Unlimited Texts and Unlimited Internet with TMobile.
Purchased via BuyMobiles.Net which offered 3 months free via redemption plus also got £40 via Quidco.

Contact = £468
After redemption and Quidco = £350
£350\18 months = £19 per month

At the end of the contract I sold the Galaxy S3 for £160

So all in, my entire contract cost me - £190 or £10.55 per month.

Im presuming the OP must have had a similar type of deal.

These deals arnt exactly difficult to get if you look around and work it out.

Well you'll have to wait for im-lost to reply, or if your that concerned maybe drop him a PM. I still believe its possible if you go for the right deal/handset.

As for the 150gb - No issue if your with 3 as they have no restrictions.

I'm not that concerned but I think there's more romance in the post than a Barbara Cartland novel!
In fact the deal you posted thinking about it is £350 out as you also can't afford the Moto!

I never said you were on about the Moto .....what I said was that thinking about the deal you posted (which I thought was about £250 worse than im-lost) is £350 worse than im-lost's deal because he could afford a Moto where as you can't because with your deal it's already cost you £199 and no profit

However if you think it's possible to get deals like that then you've wasted £350 by using the deal you posted :rotfl:
