This thread is great! I've been buying things throughout the year, and thanks to a holiday in Florida over Black Friday, I got some Star Wars and Marvel comic t-shirts for £1.

My favourite has to be from last week though. We'd been back a few days, ready to get the Christmas tree up before my fiance started 7 nights in a row, only to discover that we no longer have a tree. Cue me being very emotional over this.

The next day I asked on Twitter and a friend suggested I look at Homebase. I got a £300 tree for just £20 and picked it up on my way home. They'd messed up the click and collect order, so as a gesture of goodwill, the manager gave me £100 worth of lights for £10. Only because I'd been brave enough to speak up.

My fiance also spotted a game in Sainsbury's for £17. The cheapest it was anywhere online was £35, so I went to buy it. Paid for it (used a £2 off £20 coupon too) and they couldn't find the actual game anywhere - it was one of those "take me to the till to pay". They offered me a refund and £5 on a giftcard, then I had a big problem trying to get the game from another store, and less than helpful staff. I sent in a complaint letter and received a response with a £20 gift card. So I got £25 in Sainsbury's vouchers and the game was already cheaper than anywhere else :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
Ordered 2 annuals from Argos on 2 for £5 deal.
One was paperback, but when I went to local store to pick up earlier today, they could not find my paperback annual so substituted it with £6.49 hardback version, but still charged me £5 for the 2 annuals.
    Merry Christmas:j

Brown leather boots from Debenhams, reduced to £35 from £70. Used a discount code to reduce to £31.50 then used a £10 gift voucher Debenhams sent me for a previous order.

So in the end paid £21.50 for some lovely boots for hubby's Christmas present.

I did really well through Vistaprint. I made photo gifts for a few folk, waited for the inevitable 50 percent off e mail and ordered them then, and got 25% back via Quidco. I made a photo book for my friend, it took AGES and just as I was finished the site crashed. I rang Vistaprint to see if it could be recovered, and because it couldn't they credited my account with the cost of my previous order meaning that my order was free, but I had already got my Quidco cashback! I had to make it again, but thought that was good service. Best of all everyone loved their pressies - win win!
