This is the second "Freebies Hamper" I've done, mostly freebies from MSE but a few from people handing them out in the street/ magazine covers etc.
3 books, Coke napkin dispenser, bottle opener in tin and magnets, four Kellogg's sippy bowls, Red bull which arrived at my door, Clipper teabags from the Tea Tour this summer, a No 7 goody bag, L'Occitane shampoo and conditioner, two Lego polybags, posh candle in a tin, a pencil and spaghetti portion measurer from the recycling people at the council (!), assorted sample sachets, salad cream, tapas bowl, two Nails Inc polishes, Body Shop lip balm, posh lip gloss, probably the full set of co-operative food recipe cards and a Reggae sauce neck collar with a cook-in bag inside.

Oh, and a trolley token. Sorry for the poor resolution pic but enjoy the glimpse of my tree!
    :D
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

I've just totted up the spends I did for my kids' Christmas stockings and found that overall I've spent 47% compared to full RRP on everything. Best discount was on a Pandora watch for the eldest (£47.00 reduced from £245.) Quite a few of the things were effectively 'free' because I've used vouchers I've earned from surveys, Boots & Clubcard points to enhance the savings. I feel quite pleased with myself

My Christmas bargain present is my friends beauty hamper. Included in it is a full size body butter which was free from the body shop when i spent £5 (on another present), a posh lipstick free with a magazine courtesy of an mse email tip and some S&G boots goodies taking advantage of a glitch posted on the grabbit board.

It's all new and and expensive looking but i haven't spent very much at all!

My best Christmas bargain is a £250 photography voucher that I won at the School Christmas Fayre raffle. I'm giving it to my step-daughter for Christmas as part of a pamper basket, she's due her first baby this week so hopefully she can use it for some early precious photos of baby.
  • Hi, I have a question. When buying someone a Christmas present do you buy to a set amount, ie see what you can get for ten pounds even if you got stuff that was reduced from, say 50 pounds, or do you prefer to give something that is worth 10 pounds and keep any extra bargain you have. My best bargain was probably the moleskin fashion diary in the other thread, assuming it`s delivered etc.

i have a budget of say £25 for my nieces - so I spend £25, but hope to get bargains which at rrp are a lot more than that. This year I've done that with just about all my pressies ie one niece I've spent £25 on in actual money, but the RRP of everything I've got her is nearer £100.

Oooo, theres so many! I got over £60 worth of Yves Rocher stuff for £11.45 delivered.

I got two girls bench coats on Amazon on black Friday, were supposed to be £60 each but down to £30 on black friday and then got another £12 off for signing up the clothing newsletter so £120 worth of coats for £48 and my girls will be snug as a bug and have coats that actually fit them.

I also set my alarm and got The Yule Monty Soap&Glory set for £27 instead of £60

Also Moshi Monster stuff I got from the Home Bargains finds thread, I got two Poppet plushes for £1.99 each and a pack of nine figures also £1.99

But THE BEST bargain I got was when I went to do some food shopping in Morrisons and bagged myself a massive massive Christmas Gammon for £5 down from just over £18 and it doesn't run out of date until January 8th so thats the Ham for Christmas Dinner sorted!!!
