  • I cleaned under the stove today!

    :D:D:D:D

Not wanting to brag... I broke 4 nails!!

Next time I am feeling guilty just remind me to leave the cleaning to the OH!

What stove have you got that you have to clean underneath it?

It's bad enough cleaning inside it :)

ETA I'm assuming stove = oven

Salvo's used to be a treat when I was a student in Leeds in the 80's. It's been going a long time.
Since 1976, and still as good as ever. Though I have to be honest and say I preferred it when you couldn't book, just turn up and queue - it showed you were keen to eat there, and it was a good atmosphere in the queue, enjoying a drink and chatting to other people in the queue.
The salumeria (deli) next door is excellent, too, for proper Italian ingredients.
Have you been to Casa Mia? That used to be lovely...then again it was in a past life that I went there
No I haven't. There's two, isn't there? If I'm in town and fancy Italian, I usually go to Da Mario's (but haven't been for, oooh, several years now).

No, I'm just sad enough to know stuff like that:o, in fact I once wrote a short article about it for the Christmas issue of a magazine.:o:o

I have a very vague memory of tights with lines up the back (late teens/early 20s?) and spending about 2 hours getting the lines straight. Then being very careful to only take them down the absolute minimum required when I went to 'powder my nose' so as not to muck the line up :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Going back to <ahem> around 1990, I worked as an assistant accountant and I used to quite like the tights sold in the sock shop :o

I was at work one day, sporting a new pair that had taken my eye (we had a quite formal dress code at that time but I was a bit naughty and used to get away with it so I used to wear a stretch mini skirt, thick patterned tights and DM type shoes ) and my boss said....ooh The Scream, I love that painting, where on earth did you get those tights, my wife would love a pair :)

Up until that point I had no idea who or what the scream was, so thank you sock shop and my old boss :T
