I am so sorry you do not have the treasured memories most of us do :(

The problem with abusive relationships, of any kind, is that the abusers often break down your confidence and make you feel like you deserve the abuse:( Well done for breaking away, and I sincerely hope you can make a better job of your life than she did of hers.

Thank you for your hugs everyone, I think I need to go for a walk, might relieve T of a few more loo rolls and deliver a few cards.

I am so glad this voucher came along, I was one 4 pack of Velvet away from having to actually pay more than 25p for a 4 pack :eek:

Anyway, off to wash my face and go for that walk :)
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • I havent got one :(

    Morning all.

Trying to read back but not managed to keep up last few days or so.
Been busy trying to organise xmas. Presents wrapped. Little Miss did half. The Elite influence on my xmas shops was very evident. Lots of BS. Presents paid by Tesco boosts that were provided by other point collecting rather than shopping. TCB vouchers from when I moved house and restarted my services. APG chocs APG snakes. Quidco Crisps. Sweets from blockbuster sale. Achica whisky. Swagbucks anazon books. My grand spend in cash for other folk thats not in this house was less than £20 :j:j:j

Value ??? Must be more than £400. What a team guys :T:T

Has left me being able to buy whatever I like for my kids.

Tree up. Little miss did that :T

I have been sorting house. Taking stuff to dump and generally catching up.

Husband has bought me a smartphone for my xmas. Well I say bought. The deal I got allowed for £120 cash back. £35 TCB and £20 worth voucher from 02 in box apparently. True cost over two years taking in to consideration my £10 a month spend now is ... Minus £7 :j

    A true MSE present

Happy belated birthday wishes, big hugs anyone needing any

    Loive to all x x x

Sadly I have to agree. As my kids have gone through teenage years and brought home many friends to hang at ours, I have been shocked at the way their mums in particular have treated them. I seem to have 'inherited' quite a few extra children who just come here and have copious cups of tea, food and are just loved for who they are. They all call me 'mumma'!!
I can only think these mums must have had bad childhood experiences themselves. I'm expecting one particular person to be with us over the Christmas holidays, as mum drinks and its worse in the hols:(

Its funny, our house is tiny and they have to sleep on a mattress on the floor in my DD's shared bedroom, with no space, yet we usually have someone sleeping over for some reason or other.

    Wow. Well done!:T

I'm thinking of putting my tree up today but need to tidy the house first. And this isn't getting either done! :)

    Good morning everyone :)

Day off work today, having to use up last of holiday days. Like you savingsbabs, was awake at normal 6.30am time, but forced myself to sleep more, as know just how tired I'm feeling at the moment.

How's the challenge going Streetlights and Westvleteren?

Your link to the exercises are going down well Westvleteren :)

Had an indulgent Sunday, saw that the Polar Express was on TV, and used to love reading that to my 2 when they were little, so snuggled down and watched the film :)

Welcome to Cokechaser, although for the time being, doubt you'll be chasing more coke!

Have a very good day one and all.

Just popping on to let you all know my children were so delighted this morning to see they got the most votes, they have gone to school with a hop skip jump and spring in their step :rotfl:
