Cashlesslassie wrote: »I dont think it matters how long your loved one has been gone for, this time of year can be very sharp and all those adverts of happy families and songs that !!!!! your memory and suddenly drag you back to a time when you took it all for granted are always right there. Family and friendship are wonderful things but the flipside is so painful. I dread this time of year, 4 years for me and its so hard to see everyone gathered round the table but she is missing. I love love love seeing everyone happy but I do wonder if it will ever feel right again. Huge love to those that will be missing someone round the table this year from me xxx
Your post above Cashlesslassie says it all .I also feel very sad and tearful at this time of year:xmastree: and miss the 3 important people in my life Mum Dad and DH :A:A:A whom I have lost but then look around and see my DD and DS and 4 lovely Grandsons and count my blessings .I really feel a Huge Great Group Hug is needed this Season for all the Elite who are finding it tough at this particular time of year:grouphug::grouphug:and the kettle is on for a nice :coffee: Nannylala x0 -

Good morning
Reading todays posts about missing loved ones with tears streaming down my face. Huge hugs to you all xxxx
On a happier note, my twins have arrived back from uni, I was so excited to see them that I could hardly sleep the night before! I have not seen them for 3 months apart from Skype.
Lovely to sit around the table as a complete family once again.
Waiting for a date to move house, the buyers wanted to be in for Xmas, looks like it will be just after or beginning of January now. No tree or decorations up here, most things dismantled, boxed etc ready to go.
Not looking forward to moving into a rented property, but at least we can find the right area to buy in.
Must go and finished the mountain of ironing now, the downside to having the boys back.0 -
You are right nannylala, we have a lot to be thankful for, I am going to try and focus on the good times yet to come.
