  • Can anyone help please? I'm having an afternoon tea party next week for my neighbours and wanted to print out some informal invitations.
I've been on Google for ages (1.1/2hrs) with no luck. Mostly I've found USA sites, signed up to a couple of 'Free' ones only to find they want money once I'm in.
Anyone have any ideas? I need to get them out some time tomorrow
    TIA

My Mum also had this before she died. Dad is now showing all the signs and getting very difficult. It is hard work but your last sentence sums it up - do try to keep your sense of humour, it does help when it gets really hard.

I have a really sick sense of humour... it is a good job!

I cooked one of the Asda rump joints yesterday and it was one of the best beef joints I have had for a very long time ! Used my dear departed MIL's enamelled roasters (must be about 100 years old!) and cooked it on a couple of chopped up onions and a couple of glasses of red wine. Really good - fork tender. If only I had room in either freezer I'd get a couple more. B***** the rib of beef, rump is fine !
I am eating some of Bubbs' beef as we speak :D

I had an A's BB Today too! I halved it and put in a roasting bag :D

altho I had silverside it was very nice and tender..remainder for tea tomoro!

I had an unfortunate encounter with my roof space this afternoon ! In order to store my mountain of toilet rolls which were blocking the landing, I decided (foolishly) to empty all my old mystery shopping reports (from 1998 up to 2005) out ready for burning and fill the freed up space with toilet rolls. Now, I live in a dormer bungalow and I don't have a loft as such, just little roof spaces with narrow doors. The reports were piled up right at the back of the space and I had to turn sideways to get most of my body through the door and then turn back when my ample bum was through the gap. I managed to turf out all the reports but they piled up behind me and, when I tried to reverse out of the space, I couldn't turn sideways ! And I couldn't get out of the perishing doorway.

I know I'm down to my 5:2 target weight but there are clearly still bits of me that need a bit more work. I've got a couple of sore patches on each hip now where I got stuck in the gap.

Hope you don't mind me having a little giggle tbw:rotfl:

My previous post is the first time I have opened up at all on the forum and well, you all made me cry, with tears of gratitude! I feel so much better now - the power of the elite

Yes, lists have been made already and actually it has given me something else to focus on rather than my mum. I have a lot of problems with my memory anyway (suffer from fibromyalgia among other things) so lists and I are very good friends.

As she sounded much better today I am now going on Tuesday so I can take her to the cemetery as it is anniversary of my brother's death on Wednesday.

I find cooking quite easy (famous last words) so it should be quite routine and if they don't have everything, they will know what to do.

My partner is very grateful as is his mum so that makes it easier to do. And as a final addition, my partner's ex is suffering from early onset Alzheimers.

So, thanks again. Head up and feeling better.

Do you think we should be able to bottle the power of the elite ?? Just think what we could cure

bless you Pauline. Sometimes just letting it all out helps massively :) :A

Just wanted to share something with you all, had a little look through mum and dad's singles collection earlier and listened to this one.

Totally different thinking listening to it now than when I was an innocent 7 year old. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
