    I've amazed myself this year. I found my crackers in the loft in a carrier with a note attached which read " Do not crush. This bag contains crackers":T

    Also found a Champneys big red box. Think they started off at £50 in a Boots last year.

    Decided to keep it for myself

    I had an unfortunate encounter with my roof space this afternoon ! In order to store my mountain of toilet rolls which were blocking the landing, I decided (foolishly) to empty all my old mystery shopping reports (from 1998 up to 2005) out ready for burning and fill the freed up space with toilet rolls. Now, I live in a dormer bungalow and I don't have a loft as such, just little roof spaces with narrow doors. The reports were piled up right at the back of the space and I had to turn sideways to get most of my body through the door and then turn back when my ample bum was through the gap. I managed to turf out all the reports but they piled up behind me and, when I tried to reverse out of the space, I couldn't turn sideways ! And I couldn't get out of the perishing doorway.

    I know I'm down to my 5:2 target weight but there are clearly still bits of me that need a bit more work. I've got a couple of sore patches on each hip now where I got stuck in the gap.

    Apparently I'm American!? I think my passport would disagree. :)

    It's been lovely opening boxes that I've been stashing away over the year. I've had dome lovely surprises. Found lots of the soft fluffy M&S socks that were going through cheap:)

    I need xmas to happen this year so that my present stash doesn't escape from my upstairs cupboard. I have totally forgotten what is in one box as I amalgamated mine and mum's Boots stash. :o

    I have told myself NOT to do the 75% sale in the new year. Famous last words. :rotfl:

    Found loads of stuff under my bed that I have 3 of each of for the girls stockings. I had already bought stuff for mum to give them in the sales. Think I may keep some for next xmas otherwise it will look obscene. :eek:
  • My mum has this, it is (the illness not mum) flipping hard work, she was shouting in co-op that we were robbing them! Whilst it was sad, you cannot help but laugh x

    She was dead right- you were robbing them SSM:D:D

    My Mum also had this before she died. Dad is now showing all the signs and getting very difficult. It is hard work but your last sentence sums it up - do try to keep your sense of humour, it does help when it gets really hard.

    Does anyone else have an OH who thinks they know everything?

    :mad::mad::mad:

    Sent 4p into loft today to Christmas decorations down. Asked him to find the Crackers.
    'We don't have any' ???
    'Yes we do'
    'Nope - we used them & there isn't anything else here labeled Christmas'

    :mad::mad:

    I KNOW we have crackers........

    So I play Martyr & start finding cardboard loo roll middles as I will now have to make them! ;)

    Any way I find we missing lights for front window & state there must be another box up in loft :D

    :T:T:T Crackers found

    :D:D:D:D

    I'm buying OH a fishing rod for Christmas. I like surprises but he only exercises and goes fishing lately. So Ive caved in and he knows what he's getting......I'd just buy a stick so I had to let him choose :D:rotfl::rotfl:

    WELL....he started a conversation earlier that went like this

    'you know when you're a kid and you get a bike for Christmas?'
    me: yes
    'and you just have to go out and try your new bike out on Christmas Day?'

    For the first time in ages I had to use my 'this conversation is not proceeding any further' look

    Then he said he was just winding me up :mad: :cool:......testing the water more like, and I bet it was freezing :D

    I quiet agree especially as we were getting 2 pks per coupon! I wonder if I could get away with gagging her!

    I took her to a T*sco today, I did three shops and she was telling the SA all sorts, I was amazed at how much she had taken in! The SA just blinked as said that she had someone the week before who had 32 coupons and nearly had a free shop... I just thought Elite! So whoever it was, hello :wave:
