well we missed the show today, we left from cornwall yesterday at 1pm then .......

Well I got stuck, 12hrs I was on the road last nite, standstill on the M5, because they closed the motorway because of the flooding. We did get off the motorway and try the back roads, which were worse, I couldn't get through one road and had to turn back. There was water everywhere, emergency services, stranded cars and just chaos.

We then went in search of a hotel to stay in and everywhere was packed, the holiday inn in gloucester they had ppl sleeping on the floor in reception.

We decided to drive back to bristol, by this time the cars still stuck on the northbound side of the M5 had been told to turn their engines off and go to sleep in their cars.

We managed to find a hotel at 2am this morn in bristol. We decided to come home this morn, as we couldnt get to Manchester.

bloody weather, im soooo angry, !!!!ed off and tired at mo, sorry had to rant.

Kids are gutted they missed it, and so am I :(
  • Aw big hug icecubequeen what a nightmare for you.

It's on Altrincham Road and Wythenshawe Road Owsa :D

The roads run parallel and the park is between them both.
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

We went to the 3pm show today. Car parking was fine no queing had to queue to get into the park which was a bit of a pain as the heavens decided to open dead on 3pm! The queue moved quickly though. Definately a wellington boot and waterproof job. Little girl enjoyed it was just a shame about the weather and she was a bit dissapointed that Stephanie from Lazytown wasn't there. Other than that a fun, muddy day!:j
  • Damn a wellie day haven't got any whatsoever! Oh well we'll risk it without! As long as Sporticus is there my son will love it regardless!

The longest of longshots but if anyone has any tickets for any show tomorrow (Sunday - ideally 2 adult / 2 kids) I would be eternally grateful. I live 5 mins drive from Wythee park and would consider driving to pick the tickets up if that option was available to me.

You'd make two small kids very happy and two even bigger kids even happier still !!!
