Harsh that about the medication.
I have a DS whose normal get up time is 5.30 but have actually been up since 3 when dog caught short. Awake anyway!0 -

I feel a list coming on, to help focus a NSD as this is likely to be a spendy month overall ...
* Colour hair and get rid of badger stripe before meeting next week (colour bought yesterday in SDrug special £8 for 3 packs q- beats £40 a time at my local hairdresser who I haven't been to for ages as too sicky blah to go backwards over a sink)! Done, turned out Ok although always reverts to its usual grubby auburn / piebald pony grey within 3 weeks!
* Meet with sisters to plan mum's 70th later in month. Done, family meal Sunday before booked, cake sorted for that event; day of treats on the birthday mostly sorted and half booked, cake for that day sorted, just rest of present to sort :T
* Couple of hours work.half hour at best, must do better tomorrow, did garden work instead as weather was so much better!
* Sort through my seeds, create planting plan and see if I need to budget any seed buying in (homegrown focus as MF action for this year) Done, a few things to buy, will use any money raised from this weekend's free listing on Fleabay to try to make this cost neutral ... If I do really well have decided to treat us to an asparagus plant as we love it but it's always sooo expensive to buy!
* Catch up on others' MFW adventures! Epic fail, but OH is going for long training run tom so I'm planning coffee, lie-in and catch up before starting work!
* Walk in sunshine with OH and critters. Done, lovely!
* organise envelopes and NSDs for March challenge done, lovely too!
.... I suppose I ought to think about housework at some point tooOH hoovered, I mopped whole house, did laundry, scrubbed kitchen etc, not bad really!
Pretty productive day all round apart from work, but gotta have one day off when the sun's shining!
The amazing extra we did was the garden work, today's decluttering was all garden based, namely sorting out yard area, creating new wood store (no more dead critters in remains of old pile thank goodness), all looking a lot neater out there now!Today's MFW actions: NSD, cash neutral seed recycling and in creating new wood store from old wooden ottoman type box and left over slate tiles from when kitchen floor was fixed!
Today's grey cloud: no work done today means more catch up tomorrow which is a shame but can't be helped, important to have done some outdoor stuff whilst sunny, fresh air, exercise and all that!
Today's silver lining: good catch up with sisters, fun to be planning together, lucky we are all like minded about being budget conscious but wanting to get some nice treats in for mum!
Daily Declutter: two bags of garden broken bits to tip (broom broke as we were using it) plus bag of stuff to be recycled and several bits now on freecycle. Unearthed old mop bucket which has been defunct since the strainer part for mop broke, so recycled this to be my new henhouse bucket! Will count the bucket and bags out as won't count the freecycle stuff till it goes, total = 50 / 365
Today's Simple Pleasures: doing housework and garden work with OH; hens who follow you around the garden waiting for worms and to help with digging; roaring fire of an evening burning up old logs, cheap and cosy!
Hope everyone else has had a lovely Saturday and enjoyed some sunshine too!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Another productive day but mainly work based!Today's MFW actions: NSD, £11 made on Fleabay auctions, heating not put on, lots of wood burning instead to use up the really scrappy bits from yesterday!
Today's grey cloud: Mostly a work day, not really a day of R & R, which would have been preferable!
Today's silver lining: Mr. Hbbb had quite a bit of work to do too, so we spent time companionably in work room with wood stove on, two doggies toasting their tummies alongside us!
Daily declutter: 3 items parcelled up for courier pick up tomorrow, 2 more Fleabay sales, 81 items listed on free listing, although nowt actually left the house today, so total still 50 / 365!
Today's simple pleasures: kippers for tea!
Hope everyone's had a good weekend!

Didn't manage to get on yesterday so I hope everyone's OK! Updates for the last couple of days:MFW actions: Bit of a chat with Mr. Hbbb over all things financial (lots of reasons for this including his job situation becoming even more shaky, my current prospects which may conflict with whether we have students by Easter, his sudden urge to go for a weekender abroad with mates)!
Upshot is that he's going to look into his own finances a bit more closely and contribute something per month to overpaying the mortgage, so we might be able to zap a bit more than I had hoped by the end of the year. I'll keep to my current targets for a moment and see what difference his extra payments make before changing the goals about!Grey clouds: His weekend jaunt will be costly, but he does deserve some R & R!
Silver linings: My meeting with prospective extra job (to be employed by uni instead of freelance) went well today. Just need to wait for two people to discuss me when they meet tomorrow, then we'll see!
Daily declutter: 3 items picked up by courier yesterday to add to total but nothing today because I've been like a blue bottomed fly on the work front! Total 53 / 385.
Simple pleasures:
* Meal worms arrived: domestic and wild fowl now talking to me again. Hilarious moment of large magpie fitting himself into birdhouse to sneak the mealworms I put out for the robins / blackbirds. I was worried I'd have to go and evict him at one point because he's very big and the house / table isn't! He got out safely in the end!
* Rushed the dogs out over lunchtime, wore them out completely and enjoyed the sunshine and spring flowers.
* Been wearing my pedo-meter today for all the bobbing about and am up to over 11,000 steps already, so all good there!
* Sisters coming round this evening for part 2 of the Big Birthday plans for mum!forgot to buy cake though!
Hope everyone's OK and had some sunshine too today!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Bet you're loving planning the celebration for your mum - lucky her!
Meal worms, eh? Yuck! Tho I did see lots of real live squirmy ones out of the paths today. Send the fowl my way if you run out again!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Howdy! Catching up (again!) at last
81 items listed! :T Well done, that's some good going. I never even got one thing listed the other day. Oops.
This is from ages ago but... Oh no, rats at the burrow?3) Have started to plan our planting for spring (P*M, you would love my so not to scale diagram). Will check my seed stash tomorrow to compare what I have with what I want to plant.
Loved the secret wallpaper messages - I do that too, have been known to decorate entire walls with the news of the day (I would love to find something like that!)
Good luck with the new work prospects& well done on the steps!

Hmmm, Mr. Hbbb's adventures aren't very MSE-y at all really, hence he's feeling guilty and offering a little more in the MOP efforts!
Yup, very pleased about the job chance - the lady I met with today is someone I was acquainted with professionally a long time ago but my name has changed since I remarried so I didn't think she'd know me from my name alone. The meeting today was an informal interview and she greeted me with a big hug and "thank goodness it's you!" and then said not to worry about a second reference because she'll happily act as her own referee for me which kind of made my day as I've lost a lot of confidence in the professional sphere since I've been out of the classroom! Thanks for your kind comment, means a lot too A*M.

Indeedy, just hoping it brings together everything / everyone she wants!

I only deal with dried ones, but I know what you mean - they do like the wrigglers too!

Thanks for stopping by A*M, yes it's all going good at the moment, but hope my sleep improves so I can keep up with it all! Hope you're good!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Yes! But thankfully not this particular burrow, it was years ago at my parents house. We heard them scrambling about the walls for ages, and then one popped out from behind a kitchen bookcase with a very nonchalant look in my direction, cheeky thing. Pretty grim few days being utterly on edge wondering where they were going to pop out of next.

Thanks P*M - got some way to go before I catch up with your level of exercise - I have to have a lie-down just thinking about all those sets you do! X
Putting in another raised bed on Saturday then Mr. Hbbb and I can have three each (he's also bagged the greenhouse we've been given)!
Am hoping to write a little rhyme on the wall before I repaper it, just need to think of something fun and witty (might take me a while) :rotfl:Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Hi Hbbb
Another gorgeous day again here and all action in my garden too.
DH and I filled both mine and my neighbours garden waste bins clearing all the dead stuff at weekend. I just work in the mornings so have spent the last couple of afternoons spreading bags of bark on the borders and re- freshing the slate chippings on the paths and patio. It certainly makes me feel much better being outside in the fresh air with Spring just around the corner. Just need to get him to sort the shed roof now and were just about done !0 -
