    Hello,

Oh and I played chess by the pool on our holidays. Is it a MSe thing? I am with you on the declutter. I am still clearing one thing every day. It is all either charity shop or bin though as we have bayed everything worth selling!

Keep going! It feels great to be decluttered.

    Squirrel x

Hi SSS, I agree, chess feels very MSE whilst playing, trying to get into the habit of a weekend game for a bit of brain training. I've managed to beat OH once so far!

I guess it doesn't matter what direction it goes in, so long as it's out of the house. Do you use freecycle ? Freegle? It's surprising what people will take off your hands that you'd think was only bin-worthy! X

Evening Habibiboo, can you come here and help me declutter?

Yay, I'd love too, we can be the declutter club and have a theme tune and mascot or something equally tacky!

I want to tackle the bookcases again but haven't had much luck on Gre£n Met and z@pper. I love books and am more comfortable reading a book than a kindle/iPad, but on the other hand books take up so much space

Hope your head has settled down.

    Best wishes Tilly x

Thanks Tilly, head's been a bit evil all week to be honest, not so sure it isn't sinuses or something equally glamorous! Hope you're OK too!

I'm with you on the books - one wall of our living room is just bookcases - three of them, with 6 shelves in each and we still want to put a high up shelf to run above all of them. No TV is my excuse for not parting with them - having a whole range of books is my equivalent of flicking through the channels to find something interesting!

Kindles etc are good too if you can get into them (no good for reading in bath tho ~ don't try it at home kids)! X

Hi Hbbb. I get sinus issues and find that drinking copious amounts of water (around 4 litres per day!) can help immensely. Being near a loo is useful if you try this!

    take care

Well, a couple of days of very mixed fortunes ...

;)MFW actions: End of the month count is in - total MOP for this month £587 (I know, ridiculous non-round number but online banking on my Santan-durrrr account is playing up so I couldn't Tilly Tidy to make it up to the round £600). This unsettling anomaly will keep me awake tonight for sure - may have to put cash in tomorrow instead to get it nicely rounded!

:(Grey cloud: OH had a speedy moment last week popping his daughter back to uni after brief visit and suspected he may have been camera flashed.
So, today I received a summons for speeding on the road to Norwich as I'm the named keeper although I haven't driven it for over a year as I wasn't allowed when I started having fits. So it's now the family car as we took the opportunity of me not being able to drive / work in school to sell his petrol guzzler before it fell apart and he reverted to my girlie runabout!
However, I think he suffers from some kind of reverse "little man" syndrome when he's in it, it's a Ford KA with hearts and flowers on it and he's a 6'4" ex-rugby player, so he obviously put his foot down and got snapped for the privilege! £100 and 3 points later ... so I sent the form
back to say it was him so they can chase the right person to slap the points on, so he's been humming grass-related songs at me all evening, just for the fun of it :rotfl:

:)Silver linings: Not sure if I mentioned before, but I've recently been made aware of the opportunity to do some liaison work between local schools and alternative education providers, funded by local university. Today took a significant turn towards me being the front runner for the opportunity. It's part time so I'll still be able to do my freelance work and quite a bit of it involves working from home or meetings with local providers, so I won't have to worry about foaming and fitting in front of kids - which is all a plus really (and complies with the consultant who doesn't think my immune system's up to working in school)! Only slight downside is I've lost quite a bit of confidence since working at home on my own but I'm hoping to recapture a bit of my old self before the interview / meeting on Tuesday! I don't know how many others are in the running but I think it's better not to know tbh!

:pDaily Declutter: Two more Fleabay parcels to PO today, total = 46 / 365.

:DToday's simple pleasures: You won't believe the daffs and crocuses in the little park! No sign of the albino squirrel but so many flowers and the first (and most giant ever) bumble bee of the year! It was lovely! Even the college kids with their "herbal" cigarettes were petting the dogs and greeting us cheerfully ... until the rain came down on us again of course, but it didn't put a damper on us!

So, I hope everyone's OK and on for a great weekend! Thank goodness it's March tomorrow - excuse to update the signature which I've been useless about doing in Feb! Hugs to those who need them!

Thanks A*M, that's good advice. The thing is that I do drink at least 4 - 6 litres of herb teas and water a day (two cups of coffee as a treat too) because thirst is a major issue for me. I appreciate the bonus of working from home means that no-one's tutting over the number of loo breaks this involves!

    Hope you're OK X

    Wow about the work opportunity.
Have they identified the source of the fits?

That's a lovely idea - Alchemilla, we've always signed our walls so I was going to do so this time, but perhaps I should do a little pic of our current household as-is, dogs and hens too! X

Thanks A, yes! Gosh, you're up early! Pony duty? Job will be amazing if it works out as I thought the education system had chewed me up, drained all the good bits and spat me out the other side for good, so it'd be great to be back in the game in some form, but I'm not counting chickens (well, not metaphorically anyway) ... I've carved a quiet little work niche at home & so long as it's paying just enough to beat down this mortgage and keep me in porridge and local wildfowl in mealworms that suits me!

Medical end of fits is something of a story in itself which I won't bore you with. Upshot of which is medication for life as if I try to come off it, that induces the fits again, not just because the condition could flare again but also because you can get "withdrawal" fits from coming off it. Neurologist is happy though and said now that I'm stable with meds I can drive again though I'm hoping that won't be necessary if this job comes off, I should be able to walk to where I need to go, as Mr Hbbb takes the car. The job's a temporary contract at least to start with, so we don't want to be paying out to accommodate it in the long term.

    Ta for good wishes! X

What a lovely day, hope everyone's Ok!

I feel a list coming on, to help focus a NSD as this is likely to be a spendy month overall ...

    * Colour hair and get rid of badger stripe before meeting next week (colour bought yesterday in SDrug special £8 for 3 packs - beats £40 a time at my local hairdresser who I haven't been to for ages as too sicky blah to go backwards over a sink)!

    * Meet with sisters to plan mum's 70th later in month.

    * Couple of hours work.

    * Sort through my seeds, create planting plan and see if I need to budget any seed buying in (homegrown focus as MF action for this year)

    * Catch up on others' MFW adventures!

    * Walk in sunshine with OH and critters

    * organise envelopes and NSDs for March challenge

.... I suppose I ought to think about housework at some point too :o
