I know, Goldie, I know. The thing is I've been really good about not googling a certain aspect, especially since I got a letter from the consultant in which he mentioned a possible diagnosis to investigate ... I showed this to my sister (she's in the medical profession) and her eyebrows popped out of her forehead in the manner of a cartoon and now she keeps asking if I feel OK, so I've steered clear of googling that, I just wanted to know more about the hospital as it wasn't the one I associate with what I thought I was being looked at for. Confused? Yeah, me too but I know that extra googlement will just add to it, so I am plodding on as I am until I get told to do otherwise!

Hope your day has been OK. x

Yes, I know exactly what you mean, I get obsessed by reading hospital reviews too. I keep looking for something that confirms my view I'm being pushed towards something I don't want. But I can't find anything-maybe I'm the only difficult patient, and all the rest do as they are told.:rotfl:

Actually I had a really nice day, I harvested a few more low salt recipes from the Internet. I think I'm going to need to buy a lot of herbs if I'm going use these recipes.

I never put salt in anything, although Mr. Hbbb moans if I don't. I am liberal with the old herbs though ... totally recommend that approach to lowering the salt intake! x

Seem to have been a bit lax on the old updates here, have just been catching up on others' threads and comments and just not making it this far the last few evenings. So, what's been happening?

    ;) MFW actions:

Trying to pin down those NSDs. Another one today, making 3 in a row but will need to spend tomorrow as have GP appointment and will need to do some bits whilst in town. Have only put a fiver in my purse though and taken cards out, so can't do too much damage, just get the necessary.

AA day 26 / 100 = £ 570 / 2,000. Will do an account shuffle tomorrow as a payment has come in today ... hope to round that pesky odd £70 up to the next £100!

    :( Grey Clouds:

People I've worked for in the recent past wondering "if you could just ...." in relation to the projects (which are long since finished) but with no intention of paying me anything more to do it. It's not that I mind helping out, not at all, but my time is money and they want the time ...

    :) Silver Linings:

Have sneakily started knitting Mr. Hbbb a jumper for Christmas but can only do it when he's not around. Am doing pretty well though, have just got to the armholes at the back, very happy with getting a march on frugal festive makes!

    :p Daily declutter:

Have managed quite a bit over the weekend and up until today, but has mostly been repurposing things, putting a few bobbins into recycling and getting shot of a couple more things via Freegle. Counting 3 overall so that's a total of 290 / 365. Will list some more stuff on Freegle for the weekend, hopefully.

    :D Simple Pleasures:

    * A couple of minor work successes.
    * Have started Swagbucks using the link on the MSE email, in the hope of getting a little extra towards Christmas that way.
    * Ditto for starting to use Top Cash Back. Does it pay to use this as well as Quidco ... I'm not really sure if I should just stick with one or the other?

OK, so Mr. Hbbb is out training now so I'm going to crack on with the jumper and grab me an early-ish night!

Hope you're all OK and got over the hump day in good spirits! x

Thanks Alchemilla, black dog is chewing up stick instead of bringing it back. Think this is a good sign! Hurrah for the no salt club! x

  • The jumper WILL still fit dd....! It was always long in the body and I've not even cast on for the sleeves yet, so it may reach her butt instead of covering it now!

Hope all is manageable in the Hbbb household + menagerie, and that work is treating you both fairly x
