Hope you are having a pleasant weekend.
I understand how Mr Hbbb feels about management. In my previous job I often felt that it was made as difficult t as possible for long serving members of staff, in the hope that we'd leave.
But we all gritted our teeth and hung on, and we're rewarded in the end with a decent redundancy package. Hopefully he'll be able to keep his head down and not attract more unwelcome attention.
You mentioned about hospitals, where I seem to be living at the moment. For the vast majority of my appointment I actually come out feeling worse than when I went in, I'm sure it's not meant to be like that!
Hope you settle down with your meds soon
All the best
Thanks Goldie, On both counts.
Mr. Hbbb is just plodding on and trying to keep his head down and lip buttoned in response to management malarkey, best he can do at the moment!
I know what you mean about health and hospitals, particularly frustrating in your case I think because you're on the cusp of work freedom, major frustration to have a health issue creep up on you like that!
Meds seem to be settling, just a bit fed up about another round of immunisations and bloods. Also made the stupid mistake of googling the hospital and dept he talked about consulting with and possibly referring me to if next results aren't satisfactory. They seem to specialise in a very serious health condition, which was alluded to in the past but I thought had been eliminated as a possibility. Am sure I don't have it though, I don't think you have excess weight to lose when you have that particular condition, and I do have a bit of chub on me!
Hope you're doing alright and having an easy weekend! XStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

You're welcome MWC!
Interesting to note that Morry's are selling their branded sloe gin at £24.99 for half a litre ... so it turns out we've just made 3.5 litres for approximately a little over the cost of two of those branded bottles!
Not all for home consumption, I hasten to add, many of my family look forward to our home made sloe gin as highly acceptable Christmas gifts! So I've used some cash from my Christmas coffers to buy the gin and it should all turn out to be cost effective by the time it gets given out!
How's yours doing MWC? xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

 good morning Hbbb
I still have 1 litre of sloe gin in the cupboard from last year and enough sloes in the freezer to make another litre
I'll look for sloes whilst we're out this afternoon but I'll probably have to send my dad out to pick a few more. Maybe I haven't found the best spots around here yet but the foraging seems so much better in my home town!Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Morning HBBBO I do hope that your health issues are soon resolved. Is Mr HBBBO keeping notes etc, "just in case"? Horrible to think like that but may be useful going forwards.
Your envelopes sound like ones for targeted treats, work out what treats and the costs and salt the monies away each month. Sad that I am so clear on how to do others' budgets but mine is very challenged.0 -

Maybe we should all do each others :rotfl: Actually forget the laughter - I can't work out if it would be too embarrassing to share spending details or really helpful.
When I get the envelopes my plan is to go to bank, draw out cash and then put the cash for specific things in them. Currently I'm just haphazard but I go to exercise classes, have riding lessons, go out with pal once a week for a coffee/catch up and I think it would be good for me to clearly plan and then stash the cash rather than just haphazardly drawing out money and going back when I run out. I have tried a spending diary but it was just soooo stressful I gave up. I could never find it, or the pen, or I had a collection of receipts ugh (cringes)...I know I know I know I'm a failure :rotfl:Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Hbbb, I've gained a lot of information from google, I've also freaked myself out a lot too.
So I've stopped googling now.
Step away from google, you know it makes sense:rotfl:Early retired - 18th December 2014

It's funny how some spots are better than others ... it's a job round here to find ones which are low enough to pick! Glad you already have some on standby, am sure it will taste deliciously vintage!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

You're right Toots, but he wouldn't do that unless he was going to be approaching the union and he hasn't got any intention of that at the moment. Hopefully it won't be necessary.

You're right Toots, it's exactly how it's working out and it's given me an alternative to the fun pot which Mr. Hbbb keeps dipping into for small change. I'm putting £1 in an envelope for each NSD plus any other loose £1 coins and working myself out a system within my tickler file so the money goes to be used on specific treats! It's all good, thanks for sharing the idea.
I know what you mean about spotting it for others rather than yourself, it's sometimes the benefit of being on the outside looking in, I guess. I appreciate it though! xMaybe we should all do each others :rotfl: Actually forget the laughter - I can't work out if it would be too embarrassing to share spending details or really helpful.
I know what you mean Watty!

Sounds like the perfect plan for minimising those trips to the ATM Watty, which are well known for making us take out (and spend) more than we need, especially since they stopped giving us fivers! You're not a failure because the spending diary system didn't work for you, it just means that the spending diary system wasn't the one for you ... perhaps Toots's envelopes will be! xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

I know, Goldie, I know. The thing is I've been really good about not googling a certain aspect, especially since I got a letter from the consultant in which he mentioned a possible diagnosis to investigate ... I showed this to my sister (she's in the medical profession) and her eyebrows popped out of her forehead in the manner of a cartoon and now she keeps asking if I feel OK, so I've steered clear of googling that, I just wanted to know more about the hospital as it wasn't the one I associate with what I thought I was being looked at for. Confused? Yeah, me too but I know that extra googlement will just add to it, so I am plodding on as I am until I get told to do otherwise!
Hope your day has been OK. xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

I haven't updated for a few days as it's been a bit mad around here ... will try to do so tomorrow as this evening's already gone haphazard and I'm now summoned to look at potential trees for the front garden with Mr. Hbbb!
The good work is all in hand though! Catch up tomorrow and hope you all have a good evening (wasn't it dark early by the way)! xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!
