Could you get the girls to do a 100-egg challenge?
Sounds like fun A*M ... we started logging how many eggs we get per day on the calendar in August, just out of interest, so if I carry on with that I can post up their total after 100 days, as a little egg-stra detail!
My current 100 days(ish) ends at the end of this month, and was just for crafting. So my next block will also end on Nov 30th as that is the day of the school fair (gulp) - a 91 day challenge!
:T You seem to be going great guns on this already A*M ... I'm amazed at how much you're getting done!
I've also done myself a 4-month plan for work, finance, health, fitness (yep, looking forward to thos burpees and dive bombers!). Dive bombers! Rather you than me kiddo!
And, bizarrely, I deliberated between the same names as you! I plumped for Fall Frugaldom (or was it Frugality?) as I used austerity to alliterate my August.
Ha ... great minds and all that!
Will be here, cheering you on all the way :j:j:T:T:j:j.
Thanks A*M, you too!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Hi GG and Toots, thanks for stopping by ...:T:T:T That's my girl :T:T:T
Your girl is still refusing her photo call because she doesn't feel that her wet feathers become her and she refuses to take shelter except in obscure places which turn photo shoots into utter madness! Numptiness seems to have moved to a dominant 51% ratio at the moment!tootallulah wrote: »I like the sound of Edna and let's be honest a chicken parrot is just what we all need.
The chicken parrot has managed to spill mash over me twice today by landing straight in the dish whilst I'm holding it!
I am going to do a hundred days and I could do with it on so many fronts but the biggest is decluttering so that is where I am starting 100 things out the door in 30 days. Bringing together the contents of a flat and a house makes me wish that in the UK we had American style garage sales I need to persuade my niece to do a car boot with me as she has the car!
I totally agree about the garage sale Toots, it would make life so much easier! We could probably get away with this as we get a fair bit of footfall outside the house, but I'm not sure I'd want all the neighbours picking through my excess. Not sure if this is because I'm being snobby or because I think they might be.Good luck with your quest!

It's all about getting the most out of your money, which I can really relate to.
I'll be interested to read your ideas for fun activities on a budget, as that'll be something I'll be wanting to carry forward for next year.
Good luck, can't wait to hear how it goes, and I'm sure you'll do well

Thanks Goldie, I've started my list, will share later in the week hopefully! Trying to think of at least 15 things which we could do on a kind of rotation or weather-permitting basis!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Thanks to you both! Very happy with the SMASH still, particularly as mortgage statement arrived today and interest is now down by approx £30 per month as a result of the SMASH outcomes! :T
I've been a bit neglectful on here because BH weekend turned into a flat out decorating the hall-fest, which we started on Saturday afternoon. We bought all the paint etc about 3 months ago (when we got the bits for the small bedroom) but hadn't actually started the task as it would have been a major inconvenience with the students here as well. However, with them gone and me away from my computer for a few days, there was no excuse. It's still not quite finished but is looking a lot fresher. We've only done the wall painting at the moment, there are 9 doors in the hall overall so these will be done slowly one at a time over weekends, I think, with the aim of getting them all out of the way by Christmas! Then there's the floor to paint ... xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Hope everyone's OK ... gawd what a wet weekend!MFW actions:
* NSD today, total of 3 in a row so far which I'm pretty happy with! Still trying to get bits of the hall done in between working today, so I haven't had the chance to do spreadsheet shuffling ... currently looking at Thursday evening to enjoy a bit of that, as I should have rest of the student money and remaining client money from last week by then!
As a result, AA day 4 / 100 = £0 / £ 2,000.
Nearly forgot, also organised the menu for the week, to prioritise:
* Making good use of courgette and tomato glut
* Using up leftovers from day to day, so no waste
* Using store cupboard / garden items so no shopping
I've also accounted for the fact that Mr. Hbbb is away Fri to Sun next weekend but may arrive home hungry on the Sun, so this 'week' will actually run from Sun (just gone) to Mon 1st September as follows:
Sun: Courgette & tomato risotto (with pork chop for Mr. Hbbb carnivore type person)
Mon: Soup day = garlic soup and crusty rolls
Tues: Macaroni cheese (using l/o garlic soup as sauce base), salad leaves from garden
Weds: Jacket potatoes with h/m ratatouille (featuring courgettes and tomatoes, naturally)
Thurs: Soup day = lentil and tomato, using up any l/o ratatouille
Fri: Omelet (courtesy of my ladies) and h/m chilli wedges, salad leaves from garden
Sat: Pasta and roast vegetables (want to guess the featured veg?), salad leaves from garden
Sun: H/m Roast vegetable quiche (using extra roast veg), potato salad - easy to keep by for Mr. Hbbb's return. Bake cakes whilst oven is on.
Mon: We're invited to my mum's for dinner, so no spend and no cooking! Will take her eggs and tomatoes though!Grey Clouds:
* Wet weather is grim, truly feels like autumn around here!
* Sad about Lord Attenborough. I met him a couple of times as he presented me with my uni Diploma and degree. Lovely man, a true gentleman.Silver Linings:
Wet weather + painting hall = no spending.Daily declutter:
[STRIKE]Man cave[/STRIKE] garage looks like a pit of doom as it has decorating stuff (read also stuff moved about in order to find decorating stuff) all over the place. Need to focus on this but possibly when Mr. Hbbb is away next weekend! In the meantime ...
Decluttered my tea / coffee / mugs cupboard today and Operation Cuppa Use Up before buying any more is now officially underway. We have an amazing amount of different teas (quite a bit given as gifts, free samples etc) as well as ground coffee, instant coffee (2 jars) and some cappuccino sachets, so officially shouldn't have to buy any throughout the AA challenge. Types all sorted out and decanted into canisters, 2 old tins recycled = 281 / 365.Simple pleasures:
* Enjoying h/m soup in the wet weather.
* Enjoying that nesty sensation you get from doing the decorating (that's the upside of ignoring that stiff neck, shoulder sensation).
Have a lovely evening, all! xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Now that's what I call a meal plan
It's varied ( even though there's a lot of courgettes and tomatoes:rotfl:) and there's absolutely no waste.
I do a sort of meal plan in my head, but I feel I could be a lot better.
It's something I'll be working on next year, when I have a lot more time to look for recipes etc. The meals I do are quite repetitive, so I'm looking forward to varying the diet a bit, and making the most of the ingredients.Early retired - 18th December 2014
