  • What a cute looking dog! Congratulations on smashing your smash target. Very jealous about you being 103k, we are going to break the 150k mark in September so still a bit to go.

Your dog is gorgeous Hbbb - I bet he gives a good cuddle!

Thanks to everyone's support re. the extra wedding guests, we're just going to have to stand our ground. There was a further development over the weekend but I can't go into detail without giving too much away :(

Well done on smashing your SMASH target! What about a new mini target until the 100 days are up?

Hey everyone ... finally catching my breath a bit as I'm winding up the working week , yup I'm actually going to take a long weekend this weekend starting just after I do a short burst of work in the morning!

Hoping for a quick catch up on here this evening, including all your lovely comments and kind words about the SMASH. To tell the truth, I'll be reading and replying as my "reward" for getting through the remaining work I have this evening ... completing each section of outstanding work = 15 mins MSE time!

Then hopefully I'll also get to update with where I'm at with things, I've been doing a bit of MSE-type thinking you see!

I also had to say how lovely your hero-boy is :) I'm a real dog person and I love to see pictures of other people's furry friends

    Have a great day!

Thanks BW, he is a poppet! Gotta love doggy people ... do you have one of your own?

    Great stuff HBB :j.

I dreamt of dogs last night, I'm sure inspired by your pooch - though it appears I told Mr GG out loud very firmly 'I don't WANT a dog' :rotfl:.

:rotfl: Especially as I know you're a doggy girl at heart! Are you really sure your subconscious isn't trying to persuade you to rescue that gorgeous greyhound from Toots's thread?

Ahh, the muppets, they seem to have taken residence. Dog walks are now nothing if not entertaining! x

Thanks to both of you, WS and Janey ... he is a bit special (in all the meanings of the word)!

Thanks about the SMASH too, very happy with that result. Still haven't had my spreadsheet fest, largely as a result of student issues which occurred just before they left! I honestly thought it had only been a couple of days since I last updated, not almost a week

I've drawn a line under the rest of the 100 days and am moving into my next cheeky plan which will see a little slower but hopefully steady pace to paying down that mortgage!

:o I share your pain WS, those big numbers just taunt you, but we will all get there, we're all working hard towards that MF goal! x

:( Don't let the latest developments get you down Janey, it's your day and it needs to be one you'll remember because it was a perfect day for you both, not 100 other people who each felt they had a say in the event!

There is a Murphy's law of weddings that says someone who is not the bride or groom will decide it is all about them. I bet you can identify that person Janey.

    Enjoy the break Habi.x

    Many thanks to you both!

Lovely to 'meet' you HOIT ... yes, addictive is definitely the word, both for the forums and the MFW quest. Mr. Hbbb pointedly mentioned that we weren't having crusty bread with the homemade soup this evening because it's a NSD and he wasn't "alllowed" to get some shopping. This is because I pointed out the amount of things we have which need using up before we go shopping, especially as we don't need to cater for students currently!

TBH, I'm really not sure whether to feel bad about this (because it's not all about living miserably, just carefully and goodness knows we don't want to make Mr Hbbb grumpier) or whether to feel glad that, finally, he's getting the message that the budget doesn't currently stretch to him "popping out for bread" and spending £40 each time on stuff that sits in the cupboard or is in fact just beer and items of the random gadget kind that his favourite L*dl shop seems to have at any given moment of the day! Thread vote, anyone?
