I could try writing your essay but given my knowledge on your subject it would be both short and inaccurate :D

I know Kc it was utterly hilarious, Mr El kept scratching his head so that his wrist band could be seen to listen to the reactions :)

we chose at the start of the indy ref not to talk politics during meal times, we had found tbh that it was taking over every single aspect of our lives, so decided we had to have a politics free part, meal times seemed to fit the bill, obviously many others chose not to have a politics free time :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I remember a night before the indy ref and we were away to see David Haymans pittiless storm, we decided to drop into a restaurant for a pre theatre meal, we had spent the day door chapping and stall holding so had had our fill of discussion and just really wanted a wee theatre experience.

Walked into the restuarant and sitting in the corner waiting for his pick up was a guy I had spent the day with at the local hub so we got to chatting, he fancied going to the show himself but hadnt bought a ticket ( it was a sell out)

The table opposite were a couple that had travelled a few hours to see the show, they had tried to get tickets in their local town but couldnt so came all the way to ours to see the show, they wore English Scots for yes badges so we had a wee polite chat, in through the door walked a MSP with her party, we had worked together a few times so said hello and chatted, then in walked another couple with their YES badges proudly showing, they recognised the MSP and started chatting before I knew it the four tables were all talking about the situation.

The workers in the resturant all tried to figure out if we were all in the one party, more people arrived ( obviously there were a few of us that had spent the day campaigning and were looking for a quick bite before the show) the whole resturant was chatting about the show, Scotland, our dreams and our plans, it was very surreal.

We all trooped off to the theatre together laughing and chatting along the way then walked through the door and bumped into over 20 odd people we knew from different campaigns along with a good few MSP's ( we all knew each other at this point as we had all worked together)

It turned into a party night and was great, what was the funniest for us was we took Mr El's parents with us thinking oh they will enjoy this play, its based around trade unions etc so they will understand a lot of what it is about, they sat open mouthed and proud that their son knew these MSP's and people from the telly, at the end of the show one of the MSP's let us know that Nicola would be in our local town on the monday and asked Mr El's parents if they were interested in meeting her and asking her any questions, Mr El's parents found a new found respect for their son and happily told anyone that was interested, my son knows xxxxx

It wasnt like that for us, for us it was about people working together, we were all equals all of us.

    Aww ... lovely.

I'd forgotten you were lurgified, sorry! Just shutting down myself now, still knackered - good for you for having the guts to get out into the garden; I'd like to, but I'm too tired, and its **freezing** out there! If I do anything today, its tidying up the house, with a cuppa tea in hand :)

300 odd mile round trip yesterday, I got to see the city of Newcastle, Lovely place ( from what I saw) but I did leave not knowing the answer to ... Is it still called Newcastle upon tyne?

We landed up down at the quay area, had a wee coffee and a roll from a local mobile coffee seller, which was much cheaper than the starbucks ( which i dont frequent much now anyway due to a) lack of taxes paid and b) prices

I really need to sit down and do a yearly review of our finances but need to get this paper written as well, so will try and get this paper written then get started on the finances
