    Hey all :)

well havnt really been up to much still, i lead a boring life :) Have a Common Weal meeting and an anti Fracking meeting next week as well so will need to cost in diesel, food bank stuff, biscuits and hall hire for both those meetings, i do enjoy being involved in these things, but they take time and money and whilst its not an awful lot, over the month it all adds up.

Have also been asked to be a committee member for a community farm, now i love the idea of a community farm, but do i have the time ?

Sheesh life is running at a very fast pace just now :)

Did a great day at uni the other day, learned all about giving different types of injections, not something i relish to be honest but if i have a patient that is in pain and i can relieve that pain ( by temporarily inflicting more ) then i need to make sure i can do it right :)

Money wise, well i have started noticing in my financial recordings i am tending to put quite a bit of money into the Miscellaneous pile, things like buying stuff for waxing ( i wax a family member once a week to help them out) Lottery money ( Mr el at work) books ( me ) and meetings ... over the course of the last month we have spent £150 on these things, now we cant afford to spend £150 a month on these things as its most certainly not budgeted for... It seems like we are slowly figuring out exactly where all the money goes.

I have kept a note of spends before now, but havnt noticed these things before, well not in as much depth as i can plainly see now anyway.

aye i can relate to that Ed ... been on there myself a lot as well :)

Thing is ... when you have everything ticking along nicely it's a case of counting the days down till next pay day and trying to squeeze just a wee bit more out :)

Well things have been ok ... trying to purchase some new shares but because they are US shares i have to fill in a W8B form or something ... so will need to deal with that this week ...

Mr El is having a bit of pressure at his work and it is affecting his mental health but we are talking through it and working out plans ...

paid some more money off of the mortgage, so that is good, everything is just ticking along nicely really ... nothing interesting, nothing exciting ... just the plodding that takes us from A to B ... the important plodding that make us look like tortoises as opposed to hares ... but valuable all the same :)

Buying American shares sounds a bit more than plodding, El! Do tell, how did you make the decision, how are you going to buy them, where do you get the form :D

Had a great wee meeting tonight of our local common weal branch , so many ideas and so many people looking to get involved in their local community for the betterment of all.... exciting times ahead, and no doubt very expensive so i have to have a tight budget for what i can do and what i cant.

It is exciting though to have ideas on how to improve things for everyone, guerrilla gardening, kids projects, older adult projects revitalising our local areas, helping people in food and fuel poverty, ohhh the possibilities are limitless ... and all the while having a think tank to come up with political policies and evidence of how things can be.

I feel happier than i have for a long long time ... Still kinda angry though ... but I know the change we need will come some day, might as well make our world a better place while we wait ;)

Money wise, still trying to sort the W8-BEN form stuff out, but ran out of ink so couldnt do it ...

Absolutely! The personal is political, and all that. I love the idea of guerrilla gardening :)

I think i may be championing that idea KC, I think I may also be doing the community education side as well, Economics, citizen journalism, which part of our government does what ( Wm, Hr, local etc), debating, learning to budget, cook etc ... all the comm ed stuff that is kinda natural for me, My future daughter in law is away just now organising a local business idea, the son is looking into policy think tanking and the husband is into the UGE so we are all busy learning and sharing, our conversations are incredibly interesting but i think if you were a stranger listening to them you would be scratching your head lol
