Hello boys and girls. Lots to catch up on with you guys! Sorry I've been quiet. Lots on!
Thanks for all the love for tomorrow! Am a bit worried mum isn't strong enough for it but she will persevere and I can always fireman's lift her I suppose!! :rotfl: my back is crying at the thought! Or maybe at my evening workout. A lot of weights. A lot of killer toning moves. All blended in to one.
Mum started on me about weight loss and going too far almost as soon as she got here and has repeated herself until I firmly told her this is my body and I will do what is right for me. I've never kicked her when she's done weight watchers, slimming world, lighter life (at £60 a week for supplements and thickener added to water to make 500 calories a day) or any of the other ways she has tried to lose weight and I told her so. I support her because I know, like so many followers of this diary, just what it is to feel a prisoner in a body you weren't meant to have. There are some things I cannot make choices about whether to get rid of or not. My facet joint disease is going nowhere and my disks will continue to pop out like sad little dominoes if I do anything too strenuous. But strenuous includes putting an extra 2 stone of weight on already tender and damaged joints. My absolute lowest end of healthy weight range is 8 stone 6lbs. I am far far over that. I am above my post pregnancy weight, by 6lbs despite already losing over a stone. I look better and I feel better and that is what counts. Mothers are meant to worry, yes... But mine obsesses over her own weight unhealthily and bemoans my heavily heavily overweight sister whose idea of a diet is only 1 bottle of wine with dinner.
So. I did a work out which I will know about in the morning. Apple will be proud as I even managed some lunges though they were done without weights. I did some planks and reverse planks too, on top of a few other muscle toning weights up and down my body.
Tomorrow when I walk there will be pain :rotfl:
I've had some tumult in my personal life. A very lovely forumite has borne the brunt of my current issues and I won't elaborate on it here. Needless to say I sat and read my very first post this evening and was reminded of a strength I thought I did not possess and now know for a fact I can call up at any time. I will be fine. I've swum deeper waters with one hand behind my back and this time I am prepared. Thanks to my lovely friend for reminding me of thisI love you yer mad'un!
Gretchen- I will add you to my list of people to alert to the summer 24 hour sale. If you are unlikely to spot a PM within a possible 12 hour window then please PM me a number or let me know if you really want it and I will purchase a license on your behalf. Usually it is in July and it is a 1 day event which sees it drop to around £7. I paid £28 and regret it never.
Right I am off to get my achey self through a quick shower and to bed.
Love you all! Xxx

You will walk through that pain barrier and be the warrior that you are all the way. The sun is shining here and I am half way between yours and Leeds Castle. That wind has dropped and it is a glorious morning, so hope the conditions are what you want and looking forward to hear the results xxx:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0

We did it!!!
I will upload some pics later! Mum did a cracking job, it was very cross-country and quite hard going for her at times but she did amazingly. I am very proud. And made her cry with my "why I'm supporting breast cancer care" poster. Because it was for her
As for me. Barely broke a sweat or got out of breath and for me that is a testament to the hard work I've put in to my health because when I signed up for this in March I had to walk to work and back almost immediately very soon after. That 4 miles without pause set me back heavily and I was in serious pain for a week afterwards. I'm not saying I won't ache. But I feel like I have this lickedscrew cancer and screw bodies that try and set limits
And as for the walk - we raised a collective £175,000 :j so thank you to all who made my walk count! Xxx
