Sorry about the migraine lilt, have you tried acupuncture? It used to help me when I was little.
Regarding clothes, I find apricot dresses are very reasonable and last amazingly. They are also very flattering towards busty/hippy girls.0 -
Hellooooooooooooo guys.
I have finally caught up on everyone elses diaries, only to find mine nowhere in sight! Quick round up because I am not sleeping nearly enough and it is slowly killing me off!
Thanks for the acupuncture tip peaty, I am seeing an osteopath who does acupuncture too on Tuesday evening (6:30pm) for a consult. I have up to £300 of my works cash plan to spend. Its £40 the first osteo session and £35 after. I am walking very very funny, my foot is all out of alignment and needs moving back around. My hips are out of place, and my shoulders too. All this from a few disks. It needs sorting so I am putting in the effort. I also booked to see the doctor at 10am on the 22nd September for a consult on the steroid injections I need into my spine in a couple of places. I will beat this. I think the pain, alignment issues, and hormones from this implant are driving the migraines. I also think I need a LOT more sleep and need to take care of my body more. Sorry for TMI, but I have psoriasis I have left lingering, as I can't be bothered to apply the steroid creams. I also use shower gel I am allergic to, instead of the doctors stuff because that is basically an emollient and I like feeling clean not greasy. So yesterday began the steroids, tomorrow I will start to rout the rest of my issues, and try and make myself feel a bit more human and sparkly.
Clothes... I am so not a dresses girl! I ama jeans and t-shirt all of the time girl. Not bought anything in so long though that my wardrobe needs an overhaul and some investment properly. I will try to expand my horizons as I do so! Gently does it says the budget!
Migraine still lingers and comes back when I am least expecting. It is frustrating. Must wear glasses!
BT paid my refund today. Mystery shop cheque in yesterday and paid in by MIL today for meOnce cleared, my emergency fund will get a big boost.
Peaty you jinxed me on Argos. It never arrived. Rang them today... Oh there was a warehouse fault and now it's out of stock... Then order a different coloured pram please??? Ok... do you have a catalogue number? Yes of course, I carry around a list of alternative argos catalogue numbers for your many mess ups! Googled it and she now has a Plum and Purple onepick up in store on Sunday
Already paid for so much palaver to go through yet, but still...
:D
Right.

Sadly not enough. Blame entirely on my squiffy shoulders
but I got to sleep ok, after midnight... and then Jellytot woke me with the devastating news at 6:30am that she can now open her bedroom door. Mr A have the baby event on. I think finally at the age of 2 and a half it may pay to buy a couple of baby gates. Or maybe just a bolt for this side of her door... :rotfl: - I am TIRED! 10pm sounds lovely! My problem is I get into bed with my laptop at 8pm usually... and then stay on it...
Lobbyludd - LOL I am sorry I didn't reply to you last night. You had me in stitches with your print outsWhen I got home he was gone! The house was tidied, Jellytot was fed, & there was a cup of coffee waiting. He left 15 minutes before I got home apparently. This I can cope with!
:D
Todays jobs:
1. Buy oven cleaner (and maybe bathroom cleaner, if I can find something suitably limescale killing that doesn't cost the earth)
2. Clean above mentioned oven & bathroom until sparkling
3. Explain to my daughter that her doodles sandals should not be worn with thick white socks... she looks like an old man.
4. Remove dual flush thingy from the loo, put in a water saver and fix the dual flush - if the water saver kills it, remove the dual flush and repeat in reverseending with a fixed dual flush at least!
5. Plump up the sofa cushions a couple of times to make it look pretty and feel much better
6. Vacuum and do the regular cleaning up.
7. Discover a recipe incorporating a slightly squidgy aubergine...
8. Meal plan!
9. Ironing...
10. Somehow get the washing that is just finishing off in the machine... dry before 11:45... It is required
So... in light of the above list and a dozen other things that will be done at the same time, what am I doing? In my pyjamas on the sofa, with marmite on toast and coffee, and on here..:o

I'm currently in the middle of making THESE not made them before, so have no idea if they are good, bad or indifferent, but it could use up that squidgy aubergine........

PS I've no bread, so have subbed in porridge oats - what I usually use anyways for most burgers/patties/*sphere* etc......Pounds for Panes £7,305/£10,000 - start date Dec 2023

I do have the bread and am now torn. Its proper white white bread and I love the taste of porridge... Maybe I will go with the oats. Have you blitzed them up a bit?!

Yes, lilt but that is because we usually have jumbo oats in the house, rather than porridge oats, which are smaller/finer. Depends on your porridge oats - if you've lots of full oat grains, zap em a bit, if you've half flakes, half flour/dust, use as is.
I must admit, I've just come to shape them (let mix cool down) and they are not really easy to formI really, really diced my aubergine small too
I left the lemon juice out as they are by far moist enough.
I've just put them in the freezer, as I'm not using them until next week, for a meal that will need to be prepped in next to no time.
lilt - if you bother to make these, don't add any more moisture (lemon) unless you really need it, and at least fridge the *spheres* before cooking - I've a suspicion that they'll fall apart straight away otherwise. Or perhaps the alternative is to really ramp the oat/bread content? But then you are into realms of altering the flavour (too bland).
Ho hum. They better taste good after all this! Thank goodness I didn't try to make them on an ordinary week night - dinner at midnight anyone! :rotfl:

1- vinegar works to get rid of limescale - just use the cheapo stuff. ovens can be cleaned with a paste of bicarb + water.
3 - no chance! Just been out and about with a SIX year old in a dress and 3/4 length leggings, white socks and her black school shoes. Sounds reasonable? The socks are knee high and were worn up to her knees, OVER the leggings. She was rockin' it!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
