Just in case anyone wants to learn my mum's lesson the easy way, if you have twins in a double buggy and one of those girls has managed to (somehow) break her leg... Do not sit them so that the cast is on the side on the sister.
Apparently I was not impressed.0 -
 - another reason to not have another one... TWINS!!!
Peaty did you break your leg? How on earth?!

It was my sister, she apparently decided to break her leg at my mum's friend's house (for maximum annoyance). Apparently it was around the time of us learning to walk.0

Oh my goodness... That is terrible. I can't imagine how hard it was with 2 little people anyway let alone one with a broken leg!!! Your mums friend must have felt awful too :rotfl:

Saunters in with mugs of tea...decaf
and settles into reading about children  and how organised you are Lilt with those finances! Have all the biscuits gone already :rotfl:
Just one little miracle here at thirty-something
...erm not so little at 5'10 aged 14  I could never have coped with 2, though single parented from day 1 - he went to nursery full time at 4 months old (no decent maternity leave for me) and I went back to full time work  . We just get on with it though and manage or muddle through as I mostly used to :rotfl:
And being a twin Peaty - I'm crossing my legs at the thought of a pair arriving at the same time :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Ahhh decaf. No matter how much caffeine I still sleep like a baby
I always wonder if decaf is a bit pointless... but then my mind wanders to other things I do without the end product included each time (see above ref babies...).. and I do those just for fun so tea must come under fun also...
5'10!! My nephew is 12 and about 5'4 now. Frightens me, as I am also 5'4 and a squidgy bit. Cannot imagine what I would do with jelly if Hims shifts didn't work around mine so he is here to have her Weds-Fri. I guess if I had no choice I would figure it out and muddle through too but you must have been exhausted Ali.
A couple of biscuits left. Fig rolls and dead fly biscuits. One of my 5 a day right? :rotfl:
Less organised and more, spit this gibberish out before you lose the will to live. Have righted my YNAB again now and it looks swish! xx

Am usually a fully caffienated bod with regular top ups and good sleep too
but have reduced it at the mo - wondering if its worsening the PA symptoms. Will be back on the menu as soon as I think it's safe to
Oh yum, pass the fig rolls, love those
Yes, was a parenting blur for a few years :rotfl: and then I took a promotion and added a commute for good measure . Even worse with school - shorter hours, but a godsend of a real Granny Nanny who did the wrap around care until I got in @ 8pm.
Got to wondering what was the point when I hardly saw DS, so gave up the job, had some time out to re-organise my life and started SE. Became a Mum who inhabited the playground at start and end of school day and DS loved it...until he was 10 and Mum wasn't cool anymore
The won't give you a kiss in sight of friends and drop him around the corner from school :rotfl:
Yeah, I stand on step 2 of the stairs if I need to have a word with him :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Before I started maternity leave this time I worked 5 mornings a week - my mum had her for 2 mornings, and she went to nursery for 3 mornings. No idea what we're going to do when I go back!!
By the way, I'm 5'11. And a bit. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Ahh, yes... Well, we were hoited out of the freshly installed sun roof if that is any assistance to the leg crossing :rotfl:
I don't understand these measurements you guys are giving, I'm anywhere between 5'2" and 5'8" depending on the footwear
