    Hi guys

Thank you for dropping in. I was so pooped last night that when I had walked MiL to the station, I came home and went to bed. Him was staying because frankly he was way too poorly to be travelling and I would have ended up off work looking after Jelly today too if he had gone home to come back this morning.

So he was in bed when I got back. Jelly went to bed as we left. And I went to bed once I got back too. Spent the entire night up with Jelly basically. She climbed in with us from about 8 until 11. I then kicked her out to her own bed where she repeatedly got up and came out over and over again. Around 4am she got back in bed with me and I just gave up and left her there. Too tired, and feel quite rough today due to lack of sleep and such a busy busy few days with no *down-time* at all.

It is almost a relief to be back at work! :rotfl: The sickies are looking after each other. Every time they eat they have violent tummy pains which means Jelly is trying hard not to eat and Him ends up laid flat on the sofa for 2 hours after every meal. Not good. :(

Other than them being poorly and Jelly throwing some epic tantrums, we had a lovely day. We had :o Burger King for lunch because I had a voucher for a £9.99 bundle that fed us all and then it didn't matter about leftovers/waste as I wouldn't have spent 2 hours cooking. We then went to the park after our lunch so that Jelly could run off some steam, and had afternoon tea with much cake. :D I sent home a third of each cake with MiL after we managed a third yesterday, and a third of each currently sits on the counter at home so there is still plenty left to feed you all ;)

We had a nice day but it would have been better if they were well as Him barely spoke a word the entire day and Jelly was a bit of an effort. Nice as it was to have someone else there with us so I didn't go stir crazy after 5 straight days of just me and poorly Ellie, it was exhausting carrying the conversation.

So.. I am at work for a rest. Relying on coffee as I had very little sleep. And trying to motivate myself to actually do a decent amount of work today. Hard to concentrate.

I probably won't be on tonight. I am shattered.

    Hugs to everyone xxx

Sending you oodles of very gentle virtual hugs, I so hope that you get a decent sleep tonight and that the poorly ones recover soon.

In normal circumstances I would suggest that Him and Jelly need pro-biotics to repopulate the gut with good bacteria or high quality live yogurt, but I guess that even the former would be a no-no for Jelly and I bet sauerkraut would very soon result in a re-decorated kitchen:eek::eek::eek:

    Take care.

Lilt!! I have spent the last few days reading your diary (with frequent breaks I might add ;) ) :D I could relate to a lot of it so it was a great read!! I too have a toddler (she's 2 in May) and I work with numbers. All good fun!! Saying that I have no idea how you get the energy to do all that you do when life is throwing rubbish at you. Very inspirational!!

Anyway, just saying hi, and keep doing what you're doing

    Hey Lilty,
Hope your poor sickly little family are 100% again soon- what a nasty bug it turned out to be- they must both be weakened by it so I hope they get their strength back asap.
Glad MiL birthday went well, sounds like a nice time was had. Why didn't Him speak a word all day? Cos he didn't feel well or something else? I love BK.. the best tasting 'fast food' I reckon!
Anyway, hope work has provided the break you need ;) and I hope you get a good night of kip tonight without your little curly visitor :)

  • Sorry to hear Jelly is still not 100% poor little thing it must be awful for her.

I do hope you are not over stretching yourself ... Please don't forget to look after yourself.

On a slightly more selfish note I'm very happy to see I am not too late for cake :o

    Take care

Maddiemay thank you for popping in!! I've got probiotic tablets from barrett of holland which I have been adding into madams drinks for a while now ever since she had the antibiotics!! They are capsules with.. yeast inside :rotfl: - nah I don't know what it actually is, but it is full of good stuff :D

loopybecs whoa seriously?!?! I am absolutely gobsmacked that people find the time to read even the last post of my diary let alone all of it!! ;) thank you for coming to say Hi. I will be sure to keep doing.. erm.. stuff :D :rotfl: - please join in :D x

Levi I think he felt too poorly to speak bless him. He really hasn't been good. They are a little bit better today and jelly ate some Egg!!! :j:j - one entire week of not eating more than a mouthful a day has taken its toll and she is so skinny :( so I was so excited she ate scrambled egg :) she has gone to sleep well tonight, and I am hoping it stays that way!!

DFD - firstly, thank you So much for your donation to my page. I really really appreciate it more than you could possibly know. And that goes for everyone else to.. lurkers and the like ;) I love you all. Next up... if there was no more cake I would make you one of your own ;) as it is I have orders from work for my next cake Friday run to be homemade.

The twosome are getting better slowly. I am exhausted after last night. Have just got this fnu744.jpg out of the oven and am now going to bed. Carrot and lentil soup with cumin and coriander.

    So tired. Night guys xx

I have too much time at the moment, that's the problem!! I'm 8 months pregnant, full of cold & on maternity leave, so lots of time indoors haha ;)

Glad your little one managed to eat some egg yesterday!! My DD is a little piggy normally so when she's poorly & doesn't eat much it breaks my heart!! I know when she's ill when she doesn't want food lol x

You have a 2 year old and you are 8 months pregnant?!? Do you know what you are in for?! :rotfl: - my friend has a similar age gap between her children and she rarely leaves the house with both of them.. such a faff! She put me off :rotfl: I don't have a car like she does so I would be stuck with the walking child/pram combo. *shudders*

I am enjoying Jellytot (when not stroppy/poorly/terrible twos) so I think I will give it a couple of years yet before I have another.. I always wanted 3 kids. Who was I kidding?! I can barely manage 1 :rotfl:

I am at work.. :( and have a jam packed day ahead. On the plus side I have carrot and lentil soup, homemade bread and homemade cake to look forward to at lunchtime :) are we nearly there yet?! :D x

I know, they are both girls and there will be 22 months between them  It will be fine... It will be fine... :rotfl:

I have a 3-door Vauxhall Corsa, so it's going to be interesting!! My OH has a Freelander though, so when I have both girls on my own we may swap (he's not happy with that, he HATES my car!!). DD will be at nursery on Tuesdays & Wednesdays so there will only be 3 days when I'm on my own with them both. Easy peasy...........

Yeh I used to want 6 children. I'm stopping at 2!! No more for me!!

Enjoy your homemade foodums!! I'll be tucking into chicken fajitas this lunchtime mmmmmm xxx

Had 3, as long as 2 are pushable or carryable and one can walk you'll be fine. Much better than waiting till you're 40 and going all designer baby imho. Have sandbags and tin helmet, off to hide. Sorry if I've upset ppl, just my take on life x
