  • Omg. Do you people ever shut up? I decided I wouldn't join in until I'd read through the diary. Every time I took a break another half dozen pages appear. Lilt, you are so right about that little doll. She's completely adorable. As for you madam, you look far too young to be so wise. I've caught up, subscribed and will follow with interest as we have encountered a surprising number of almost identical events. Happily though I've managed to escape the in capacities that you battle against but that would have me reaching for my duvet. You're so so strong. Well done on all you've achieved so far.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I know the feeling INOD. I take a break for a day and come back and it has taken on a life of it's own!!! My lurking friend gave me a rundown of the last 70 comments a little while ago... 46 of them were one person alone.. and it wasn't me! I love it :rotfl: Thank you for joining in and your lovely compliments!! :D I reach for the duvet each evening ;) last night I went to bed at 7:30pm! And Jellytot got me up at 8:45am!!! :D:D

Peaty it seems that after the building manager knocked on his door and was fed a pack of lies, they decided to move on and leech off someone else. His door still goes repeatedly but it is only next door neighbour. Phew. People power. Am sure neighbour is still high as a kite and thus erratic and still scary but at least there aren't several large hooded men hanging around on my doorstep :)

So... what have we been up to? Yesterday I didn't even get dressed! Tartan jimjams all day :D

I made a huge pan of lasagne base with minced beef, red lentils, onion, garlic, tomatoes, pasta, basil, oregano, lemon juice and a touch of sugar.
Cooked lots of rice an let it cool then made homemade egg fried rice, to go with the 'chinese new year' deal from Mr S which I still have a meal leftover from for tonight as well :)
Video chatted with Jellytot and my friend and her little boy and baby girl which was super cool even if we did go a bit robotic every now and again :p
Made a big batch of cookie dough with Jellytot and baked just enough for us to have a couple each. Tonnes left in the fridge!!
Did lots of washing and drying which is a good excuse to keep the heating on.

Jellytot started with the UTI again :( have been giving her a mini dose of cystitis salts to stop it hurting her and that seems to be helping so far so if I can eke it out until tomorrow.

Today we got up and showered and dressed and once we were all togged up ready for the great outdoors (Jellytot had a giant ear covering hat tied on, a scarf covering her face, gloves, a giant puffer coat, her big boots up to her knees :D) we went out and she rode her trike up and down on The Leas and ran and climbed and looked around at the view of the beach and the seagulls soaring and the tide crashing into the shoreline :)

Have come back thoroughly windswept smelling of the outdoors, put the washing machine onto spin as it was finished and will just eke out a bit more moisture before putting it out to dry and thankfully getting the heating on.

Lasagne will be sorted and cooked this afternoon then portioned up for the freezer. It is basically a layering game as everything is ready then plonk my big ceramic dish full in the oven. Looking at the mince I may need to make 2 which would be 8 portions! :D

Haven't spent anything since Friday when I did the impromptu weekly shop. £25 :money: not bad! But now I need toilet rolls, fabric softener & a couple of other more expensive bits next time. Will last about another 4-5 days I think without buying them. Need to bake some bread to keep us going but plenty of milk in and the Mr L experiment with their 59p soya milk was good :) has everything we need and is cheaper even than Mr S (85p). Leaves me with absolutely no reason to go to Mr S ;) apart from the odd crumpet buying session. 16 for £1 and they are the best out there! :D

Off to spend the afternoon doing yet more reading with the lovely Jellytot in the warm living room with the smell of fresh washing drying :)

    Lots of love xx

Sounds like you have had a busier morning then me, I have put beef on to cook in my slow cooker, to cook veggies later, put the washing machine on and now I'm catching up on some documentaries on Netflix.

It's what Sundays are for :)

What documentaries Westie? I love a good documentary.

This is probably highly ignorant of me, but I had to look up UTIs in children (only knew about rough causes in adults and didn't know if they're the same). :o Poor Jelly, sounds horrible. I hope she feels better soon.

Glad you're having a lovely weekend lilt, this weekend has been an indoor weekend for me too.

Peaty - I've watched one about adopting three Russian children, one about someone documenting their struggles with MS, and currently watching one about Alzheimer's and the stuggles that come with the disease and how others cope with the care... Quite sad but equally interesting

  • No not you Lucky

Your posts are always relevant ;) and waffly and wonderful :) you could post every update on my diary. I'd love it :) xx

I've just had some crazy news and I feel a bit... lightheaded. Spacey. Something I've been waiting for, for years, has finally happened. And I don't quite know what to do about it.

  • See what I mean. I type a response, go and sort jelly, come back and post and there are 2 posts from Westie and one from Peaty.

Some days my diary is not my own :rotfl:
