    How are you sending them?

If you are using a trackable method then you assign the tracking number to ALL 3 transactions.

d'oh! That makes sense! Many thanks

You can add it to both Ebay and Paypal. You used to be able to add it to Ebay and that would update Paypal but it doesn't always work.

in the past, i have posted the items then refunded the actual difference. So say I had charged for postage at £10 but it was only £5, I then refunded the £5. I've also done that with items I couldn't guess the postage price and advise the buyer what I was doing and why postage may be higher than they thought.

Oooh, don't 'guess' your postage, (I am wincing here) get a set of kichen scales & a tape measure and pick up a copy of pricing from your Post Office. (don't forget to include the weight of your packaging)

Look at companies like MyHermes for larger/heavier items and do a price quote so you're ready for when you are listing.

Happier buyers + better feedback = less stressed seller :o)
  • I always put a line in my listing now along the lines of:
Combined Postage offered - Please wait for a revised invoice BEFORE making payment.
If they miss this then what can you say.
