  • If I read the post correctly, they are refunding to a cancelled card? If so, it will still go through to the correct account even if the card is cancelled.
However if its a cancelled account it will be rejected by the bank.
  • Yeah its a Visa debit card, it got cancelled the next day, as the salesman wrote down all the details and the CVN on the back.
The refund slip that was given shows the same 4 digits from the old card and says completed. They use Barclays, Mother Uses HSBC, and there is no transactions pending to that amount, and the account is still active

They've paid a site to get themselves as
Westminster recliners on the first page of google..
Can you edit your post title by going into advanced and put something like Westminster recliners Suffolk-scam as your title
  • Oh right, that still wont work in their favour though! But then i would say a high amount of their target customers do not use the web, Mother darent even click on the mouse in case she does something wrong!
  • Oh also i finally got thru to somebody in Leeds HSBC, he went and called Visa, and cam back with this. As it is not a common case, it will be passed over to "complex case management" Yep thats all fine and i thank them for doing that, but they do not give time frames or keep you updated in any way :/

It might be good for your mum if you could get some support through this organization
It's a charity that deals with abuse including financial abuse against the elderly
Perhaps they could mediate to get you more reliable updates on the case
