I can see where you are coming from with not sending them. However,...

An elderly friend of mine rather enjoys receiving Christmas cards, and they constitute a good 50% of her Christmas decorations.

I donate 'things' to the charity shops. Money goes towards their work but 'things' have the advantage of bringing in new customers as well as money.

I am sending mine this year and giving out as many as possible. I am adding a bit of paper in some to say I will not be wending them next year and asking for their e mail address. The money will go to Dog's Trust instead next year. I feel it will be of more use to them especially as the Post Office has changed.

:xmassmile I am just finishing making my cards and will be posting out about 60 or so. I love getting cards and displaying them and e-cards just aren't the same to me.

I posted 32 cards yesterday. Neighbours cards will be posted by hand. Don't like e-cards.

No, but I have sent two to old friends I don't see very often and one to my grandparents. I've never liked cards and the clutter they create.

i make handmade paper and impregnate it with seeds
i then stamp them and i wrote a naff poem
explaining what to do with it

i hate the clutter of cards, these i give to people

I make my present budgets a little less so I can splurge on lovely cards and postage - it spreads a lot of cheer.

A cheap flimsy card merely saying "To X from Y" is a waste of a stamp though.

I'll be giving the cards to people when I'm seeing them, and posting the rest.

Probably, I'll be posting about 15 cards.

I don't enjoy writing the cards, I almost have to force myself to do it - it's very boring.

But on the other hand, I like receiving them - when they are all hung up on the line, they make a nice festive display.

I will send to relatives we rarely see, who live too far to visit. Other than that, I will wish a merry christmas in person. Hate writing cards. I've donated money also, in lieu of.
