HHC anyone? I need some GUAG but AF seems to have vanished it all.

  • Enters after MIA last week .........

Thanks Natty and Dusty for respective lists and hope all is well (or as well as far as is possible) with everyone.

Me Challenge Update: Had a major hiccup over the weekend which means that my hopes to complete challenge for the end of December might not now happen:eek:. Anyway, "draws breath", watch this space .....

Health: Have got a dodgy throat (not nice!) but for some strange reason, am finding that little sips of water are helping - no cough mixtures or anything like that - just water .....

Flying: My MIA last week means that after good progress in October and November, the sitting room looks RoD-ish so am going to get that sorted ASAP!

Also, can anyone advise, please? I always try and be careful about cleaning, washing up and not leaving empty tins, food etc. about, but for the last few days, there have been little midget flies (think they might be fruit flies?) and I can't think why. Was planning on washing everything down with warm soapy/bleached water, but if anyone know of a more greener alternative, I'd be grateful.

Thanks and hope to post later in the week.

    Rebecca

nicki will you post a picture when it's done it sounds amazing.

Yep. I've posted last years version here. :D Best part though is it keep me so busy I don't snack so its good for my waist line as well as putting smiles on peoples faces :rotfl:

Pigpen - hope you feel better soon.

Just having some lunch, then I'm going to dive in the bath. Work at 3pm but only collecting books from school where I used to work. No idea if DD has choir practice or not but when I get home I'll have to put tea on, then I might do some more detailing on the window while it cooks. When I get back in from work part 2 (starts at 6pm) then I'll have to get on with some ironing while DD (homework permitting) watches one of a good 12+ Christmas films currently on the DVR! I've run out of room to record anything else past lunchtime tomorrow.

    Right, lunch finished, bath time!

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

According to my sister my mum has asked for a balloon ride as a Christmas present!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Given that she is 85, with quite bad arthritis she would need a wheelchair flight!
Do they do wheelchair flights?:o I ask because it's something I'd love to do, (as in it's on my Bucket List, but filed under "probably won't ever actually happen") but mobility is a major issue; also Mr LW wouldn't be able to do the flight as he is completely terrified of heights.

Nicki that window is amazing!:T Is it difficult to remove afterwards? Don't know if this is any help to you, but Mr LW and I paint little pewter figures for tabletop gaming, and I've found that old eyeliner brushes, thoroughly cleaned, are useful for doing fine detail.:o

Flying - I'm in as best I can; won't be around on Thursday in all probability, as Mr LW's on Annual Leave that day for his bathday. It'll be his Beatles one (I'll let you work that out for yourselves).:D He's been twitting on about Yule decs - I really cba, so he can do them on Thursday if he wants them up.:D He can also crack on with the few Yule cards that need doing; my excuse is I can only write legibly for about 2 minutes, then my hands seize up and it looks like an inebriated spider scribbling in Runes!:rotfl:

I did a swift Dys0n Tango when Amber left yesterday; and Mr LW has given the loo a good scrub - he can get under the rim better than I can - so we're not doing too badly.:o

Today I've hand-washed a top and dealt with the huge pile of post that arrived, some of it to do with surveys and such like, but don't seem to have achieved much else.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Yay, we now have flooring throughout the house :j :j and suddenly it's a lot warmer - there were a lot of draughts coming up between the floorboards! The fitter has done a grand job of joining the widths in the middle of the DR, which saved us loadsadosh compared to what we would have had to spend if we had gone for a 4m wide pattern to fit right through between the doorways :money:

Meanwhile DH has got on quite well with building our CoD, and now I have sent him out to his U3A Transport group. He wasn't ging to go, but one of his moans is that he is finding it hard to make friends and meet new people, so I told him he'd got to go or else! That leaves me free for a couple of hours to touch up the paint, finish the gloss on the door frames, and get my things ready for this evening. He can try to finish the CoD while I'm out. :D

LW, have a look at theaccessibleplanet.com for information on hot air balloon flights for wheelchair users, or just G00gle.
